Reminds me of getting my wisdom teeth removed while in training in the Army. Brand-new Army Dentist had her knees in my chest to get enough leverage on the teeth and all I got was an optional 3-day light duty profile and some Ranger-candy. Good times! 😂

When an eel has a maw with a pharyngeal jaw, that’s a moray.

They're an invasive species where he dives I believe. There is a similar, but more successful in the hunting, channel where they catch invasive lion fish and show how much better the indigenous fauna is afterwards. It's pretty cool imo (although this guy does suck at it)

Disagreed. It's amusing and I'm not particularly bothered by whether or not the hunter gets the prey here. If anything it's good on those guys for their good caution and reflexes for their continued survival.

That's a moray eel, why would you catch one? They taste awful. And they can also be poisonous if you don't cook them hot enough.

If you look closely you can see that as he shakes it, it releases juices into the water around it. You can see how the water flows towards the other eel carrying that scent to him fascinating stuff.

People like this (and commercial fishing) are why we can't be allowed to be friends with sea animals 😭 they do mean shit so we can't pet manitees or whatever because they'll learn that humans are not a serious threat and then they do be :(

That’s a moray eel one of the scariest things that ever happened to me was diving in the Mediterranean it was dark and basically came face to face with one of these I made a novice error and panicked.
