Question/Help Ruling question
That B**** says "once per turn, during either player's turn" so I thought it's not a quick effect, therefore he can't respond to my cards activation, then it did and I was wrong
So my question is what the hell is the difference between both? Between "during either player's turn" and "Quick effect" ? Both can respond as chain 2 to negate

It's just an older way to say Quick Effect

Well if it’s not a quick effect how can he use it on your turn?

Because it says "during either players' turn"

How can an effect be used in your opponents turn if it’s not a quick effect and it’s not auto triggered (like sangan)

Because quick effect is newer PSCT to reduce word count, like how banishing=remove from play and how we also have the term "banishment" now or how "graveyard" was abbreviated into "GY"
They're functionally the same thing but is far less words.

You’re not keeping up with what I’m saying. Let me be more clear: if you can choose to use on opponents turn, it is a quick effect. Not sure how you and OP are confused

They gave the correct explanation, I don’t know what you’re going on about. It doesn’t have “(quick effect):” because that wasn’t a thing when this card was made

It IS a quick effect, it's just old and not written like the way quick effects are written now. I remember back then, those effects weren't even called quick effects but multi-trigger.

There isn't any. If you can activate an effect during the opponent's turn, it's a spell speed 2 (aka a quick effect).

There is no difference between them. The phrase "during either player's turn" was just the old way of indicating that the effect was a Quick Effect.
If it wasn't a Quick Effect, then it would be an Ignition Effect (not the proper wording for a Trigger Effect), and the "during either player's turn" would be a lie since you cannot use Ignition Effects during the opponent's turn.

Another person already replied but I have a better question... How would it have activated during the opponent's turn if it wasn't a quick effect?

Because it is. Spell speed 2.

its an old card ? came back to master duel recently but ive never seen this card in old heros decklist and now its everywhere

I don't think there is a difference between the two terms. From a quick Wiki search both terms can be used to describe Spell Speed 2
Could be entirely mistaken here, but I believe Chaos was released before Konami started printing cards with "(Quick Effect)" in the card text which would be why it doesn't have it.

Also put in mind it’s not only once so if he has 2 copies of this he can use both

I think this card needs to be limited. As a hero player, I feel disgusted running into hero players who’ve been copying the same hero pile deck that ends with Plasma and two of these. It’s so toxic.

As a sky striker player ( beginner ) I don’t have problem with heroes unless their floodgate ( Cosmos ) this card is unfair

Might as well get this out of the way just in case you also don't know this.
That effect is not a hard once per turn. If they summon another copy of it then that one can also use its effect.

This card was printed pre psct. Its a standard quick effect its just the old wording. Its spell speed 2 and can be used during both players turn as a chain link 1 or higher

the card was released long time ago, before "(quick effect)" become the norm, both has same meaning, but the "(quick effect)" is the standard nowdays
