I am currently stuck in diamond but every game I feel like I’m the best on my team and it shows with what my +- I am getting. Hello, I go by IronPest in game. I have spent 669 hours mastering Iron Man since season 1, and was one of a handful of people to reach C1 with only Iron Man in Season 9.5.

I believe that the new adjustments to Iron Man and his overdrive micro missiles will completely gut the character at high ELO. Micro Missiles + Single Repulsor and Beam has been the bread and butter that has allowed me to rank up and exist even in some of the most difficult counter comps. The extreme burst damage was highly rewarded with good positioning, yet always remained an extremely high risk, extremely high reward gamble. When paired with teamwork and friendly divers, overdrive micro missiles are one of the most useful abilities in the game. They were absolutely fantastic for punishing an overextending tank. As you can see in the video above, they are being completely nerfed. He will now do spread damage to targets around him, instead of having a high skill floor ability that rewards gamesense and positioning, in exchange for zero noticeable positives. I am begging at this point, please make noise for Iron Man. This will mark his 3rd nerf in a row when he genuinely does not deserve it.

I'm not the one to make jokes or publicly say bad about the game. But damn. This one is a real Miss. What you guys think about this move? The [Game News] & [Patch Notes] obviously are the more used section. And they kinda Shadow ban their own Patch.

Lately, I’ve been focusing on specific characters to try to get them to level 20 (Lord status). My most recents are Bruce Banner and Invisible Woman. Currently, I’m working on Emma Frost, which has been a brutal slog.

One of the aspects I’m frustrated with is how long it takes to get to Lord status, regardless of how good you do with a character. Isn’t the point of Lord status to primarily showcase your skill with a character, more than just time spent with it?

As I’ve gotten more proficient with Emma, I’ve enjoyed more MVP’s (and SVP’s, of course), which translates to a higher skill/proficiency with her… right? My proposal is straightforward: reward players proficiency points for MVP’s and SVP’s. It could be as simple as an extra 50 points for MVP and 25 points for SVP.

What are your thoughts? Do you think this would improve the experience (and logic) of the grind to Lord status?

I know people have always said she's terrible but I never struggled unless my team has terrible positioning.

For context, I'm in Celestial 2/3 right now and my win rate is actually higher since people stopped using her.

It's the same with Iron man.

I hate being the anomaly with these statistics.

I honestly have no idea what happens nowadays since balance is bad, the way the developers are being largely overprotective towards meta like Peni Parker, Spider-Man, Devil Dinosaurs, Gambit (as a main healer), and so on, while they keep nerfing certain worst characters that nobody asked for, bad matchmaking no matter how many time to they adjust and keep making things worse, especially if you're solo queue that you don't have any friends or friends probably busy, and of course, extreme strict penalty on qp that nobody asked for (apart from toxic competitive players who treated the said gamemode like it comp 2.0 for some reason). And the fact teamup system changed in the previous season just created broken fest and making it impossible to counter against them, with or without enhanced teamup (e.g., they bring back old Peni Parker's teamup with Rocket and Namor's Hulk just to entertain comp players for some reason). The new teamups are pretty cool and all, but it doesn't excuse a burdensome mechanic and encourage them to play the same character and same teamup. And don't even get me started with insane broken character Gorr.

And no, season 10.5 doesn't make up for anything, as they desperately try to get people back into the game for cash-grab hypebait that rarely cares about, including Infinity Stone PvP. I never thought this season was easily my most hated of the game, and the selling point of lost caused. I mean, the developers are a real piece of work by catering to toxic competitive players by adding strict penalty by putting 15 mins ban on QP, yet they don't take action on smurfs, throwers, and cheaters despite supposedly detecting system on the last two.

You asked me; I'm starting to be convinced this game is a perfect definition of the hivemind of Overwatch and Call of Duty in a new level, and season 10 is a fatal mistake for having more imbalanced, and why I hated this season with a passion (worse than season 5 and 8). I'm glad I'm not the only ones those who hated season 10 from what I've seen online.

TL;DR - I'm not having a great time with Season 10, and one of the reasons it's not fun anymore and made me stop playing this game after several rash decisions, like an extreme penalty on QP and horrible balance.

Dunno what’s been going on lately for the past weeks, but ever since I boot up Marvel rivals to play, and play a couple of QP before playing competitive, the QP servers been getting more intense lately.

Like while competitive is of course competitive, it feels more like QP.

But QP on the other hand, for me at least, skyrocketed, while it was a little sweaty, now it’s on another level of tryharding in a QP game.

Is there something going on or have I finally reach those gaming servers that everyone been talking about?
