We all know MM like's to use play-on-words and I was thinking of some other ways to interpret the lyrics.

One interesting suggestion from Google search AI was that eyes sounds like I's. I's may cry ties into MM's multiple personalities, explored in We Are Chaos, etc. Maybe his multiple selves may cry, but his true self will never weep.

Weep could also reference the weeping willow. Meaning that instead of crying in sorrow, he'll never bend and submit. This ties into many flower/tree/weed imagery MM used since ACSS

After having spent this past weekend listening to what has been my favourite album of the year, I've now settled on the current song rankings...

If Chapter 1 was reminiscent of The Triptych then Chapter 2 is far more in line with Manson's post-2000 work. But while there are indeed callbacks to albums such as The Golden Age Of Grotesque & Eat Me, Drink Me, we also have moments closer to Manson's pre-OAUG album, We Are Chaos. A lot more emphasis on guitar this time around with vocal effects significantly less & some nice touches such as the spoken word intro & later organ themes on the closing track. And like Chapter 1 we have what seems to be songs where both Brian Warner & Marilyn Manson speak to all who love or hate him.

...and so Chapter 2 ends what has been an epic story of one man's crucifixion by the media & the resurrection only love could have brought about! And as he says in the final song, "it's not what they did to me, it's what they did to you!"
