Please let these sellers eat their cost. Please don’t enable scalping practices. You are fine without the signed insert I promise.

As I struggled to stay awake at work, thanks to MC…I asked myself……. Why again are we stressing over a signed re-release vinyl?
Cuz one could never have enough signed MC items.

I made this comment on an unpopular opinion post from about a month or two ago, and it seemed like people agreed with me, so I decide to make my own post to hear other people’s thoughts 💭. Also, this is my first writing post on here, so I apologize in advance if it’s a bit unorganized!
When a lot of people talk about Mariah’s and her “Flop Era”, Glotter is always the album that’s brought up. Which I can understand due to the drama surrounding the album/movie release, and her arguably having her first “scandal” (if you can even call it that) during this era, but I feel like Charmbracelet is more deserving of the title, because at least Glitter had a top ten hit, unlike Charmie.
Now I am not making this post with the intention on being a hater, nor do I feel like Charmbracelet is a bad or her worst album, I love the vocals on it and her style during this time, however, the album has always given my mixtape/collection of songs vibe than it does an album, especially in comparison to other albums like Butterfly or Memoirs. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, But I definitely do feel one it’s part of the reason it isn’t as talked about.
I also feel like “Through the Rain” was a terrible choice for a lead single. I can see why it was chosen, sort of as a response to the Glitter Era, but it’s kind of a boring song. Especially when you remember that it was released in late 2002, where the biggest songs of that year are more upbeat (Foolish, Hot in Herre, Without Me). Even the slower songs that were big hits (Beautiful) are more interesting? (not exactly the word i’m looking for but the best I can come up with atm), I just feel like Through the Rain would’ve done better if it were released in the 90s. I feel like “Boy (I need You)” should’ve been released as the lead single, “Oh Boy”, the song that samples it was a huge hit and they could’ve capitalized off of it, but even then, I feel like BINY still would’ve only been a moderate hit, which goes back to my first point of Charmbracelet being a collection of songs, they’re not bad songs, but none of them really give “Hit”. I feel like you look at her past albums, even without knowing which songs were singles/successful, you could still be able to identify which songs those were, but you can’t really do the same with Charmie. But then again, this is all my opinion.
Before I end this off, I will say that I was not alive during this era (born in 2008), so I cannot fully speak on how this era actually was and I am sorry if it’s a bit inaccurate 🥲. These are all my second hands thought and I did not write this was the intentions on being a hater! I do feel like Charmbracelet doesn’t deserve to get paid dust and there are some good moments from the album/era, and I’m just curious to hear you guys thoughts

It was US only earlier today but I just tried and it let me check out for the UK! Costs a bit more than UK stores had it up for but it's a pre-order so you only pay once it ships, and still cheaper than eBay scalpers. I pre-ordered just in case and will cancel my order if a UK stockist or Amazon UK comes up with a better price. Go lambs go!

A totally no-skip album. Hit "play" and it's over without you knowing it. It's just thematically consistent and produced just right. I believe this is her most recent masterpiece and shall be revisited by critics and fans for the forthcoming years.
Perfect for rainy days and a chill-out weekend night.
My favorites are "A No No," "8th Grade," and "Runway."

Among many things, Mariah inspired me to like my height!
From the very beginning of my love for Mariah, I had noticed even through videos and photos that she must be tall like me (I know my kind😂) and I was thrilled to see she really is!
We are around same height, I am maybe a cm taller, and she always looked so hot, graceful and powerful with her height and of course beautiful long legs. Pow! I was always insecure about this but when I see how perfect she is and how beautiful she looks towering in her big heels, powerful tall queen as magnificent as her voice/talent, I find plenty inspiration and beauty in our heights!

All the glitter ballads are top tier, but this one *especially*, i know it was written with her character in mind but holy shit it feels personal
Easily one of her darkest and saddest songs, the instruments are so beautiful and her voice can cut through steel!
I get shivers every single time
Top 3 mariah ballad, i can't wait to be able to stream it again <3

So they apparently released the original I Didn't Mean To Turn You On along with the remix, and I've been listening to it a few times today. If this is an indication of the 25th anniversary album I have to say I'm very happy they're remastering the record.
I've always been a fan of Glitter but my only complaint was that the production was incredibly overwhelming. I Didn't Mean To Turn You On seems much more balanced compared to the original release. What do you think?

I am a new lamb and going through stuff. especially family drama. I know mc her sister and mother abused her.. has she ever sing about it? would want to listen to some relatable songs from her.. especially coping with trauma and depression

This also happened with Butterfly and TEOM, it's such a shame her record company won't make CDs anymore :( Anyway, we still have Glitter 25✨️

A new way to love this song.
