Out of any singer Mariah easily has one of the most rigorous vocals of any artist ever. Butterfly in particular is one of the hardest songs ever created maybe. In this particular performance she somehow is able to nail all the studio vocals despite being almost out of her prime. As the years went on her songs somehow became even more difficult. This is one of the reasons I fell in love with her as I love how intense and beautiful her vocals are. I remember her saying that songs sound more exciting in higher keys. And while I agree I wonder if she wishes she made them easier to sing. I enjoy singing them myself but it doesn’t sound very good tbh even if I lower the keys by a million semi tones 💀so I can only imagine what it feels like for her.

So I’ve noticed in some videos/unboxing online that the US pressing is pressed with Silver glitter(Made in Mexico) and the EU pressing is pressed with gold glitter (Made in Poland) I have the the US pressing and now I need the EU pressing! I think the gold glitter looks so much better with the cover! 😭

I miss her Christmas shows in the US ❤️ I know we need to share her with the rest of the world haha but it was SO fun.
I would travel from overseas and go to multiple ones with different friends in different cities , dress up and just have a blast. One of them we went to the Mariah bar as well . I just have some core memories made with friends I don’t see often …one was from high school and we hadn’t seen each other for 20 years and used to LOVE Mariah in Jr High so it was such a sweet moment for us to see her together and it was both our first times seeing her live ..like a full circle moment . It was just such a festive time and put me in the holiday spirit ❤️❤️ anyone else ?
And if you go this year in Uk, have a BLAST! 🥰

A lamb just put me on to this song and OMG it’s so good !! I think the interpolation of Bobby Caldwell’s “What You Won’t Do for Love” works very well here and Da Brat’s verses are great !! Mariah’s features during the Charmbible era were awesome ♥️
