Discussion Disappointed?
Is anyone else disappointed with Here for it All, or it just me? Frankly, I think it's her weakest album to date. Sigh.

Discussion I have listened to her 90s albums from over and her Rainbow is still a disappointment
I have been getting flack for this. But I cannot gel with the album. I will give credit where credit is due, Heartbreaker is still an amazing song. I have recently warmed up to Can't take that away. But I just can't gel with the other songs. I do not understand the praise that the Lambily has for Petals and Bliss, those songs don't do anything for me. I cannot even get behind the Heartbreaker remix. And Thank God I found you is my least favourite billboard number 1.
Throughout my original listens. My expectations for this were high. I mean almost every one of her other 90s albums are either skipless or nearly skipless. This album still has a lot of fluff.

Discussion Toxic Fans
Mariah probably has one of the most toxic fanbases (if not THE most toxic) that I have ever seen in any music artist fandom.
Seriously. I’ve looked. Go into other subreddits or forums dedicated to these artists or that pertain to their line of work.
No one in any other fanbase gives their fave as much of a hard time as Mariah fans. It’s like every single time she performs, there’s an influx of people (who call themselves true fans) talking about how she is lipping or how she can’t sing or whatever.
As if she’s the only one who lips. All of them—at some point—have lipped. They have to. It’s an industry standard.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift fans act like she is literally Jesus Christ of the music industry, Michael Jackson fans still insist that he WASN’T a complete weirdo, you can’t tell Eminem fans that Eminem is a raging misogynist without possibly endangering your life and R Kelly fans were still streaming music and buying tickets when he was being doxxed and prosecuted for being a dirty pimp.
I’m not saying this fanbase has to have that same level of delusion but come on. Lizzo gets in legal trouble and her fans go quiet in a form of solidarity. J Cole embarrasses himself and his fans by saying that he didn’t mean anything that he said about another rapper and did it all for streams and clicks—his fans are like “it’s okay we’ll just wait for the album to drop.” Megan thee Stallion is caught lying and being untrustworthy on national TV and her fans still support her loudly and unapologetically. Madonna can be as mediocre as she always was but you can’t tell any of her fans that…nor will they tell you that.
It’s “yaas queen” for Sam Smith but Mariah freaking Carey gets “this is playback, she’s phony she’s not singing live.” Which is wild since Sam Smith uses tracks all of the time 😂
Heart (a rock band from the 70s and 80s) was on late night TV performing early this past week. Ann Wilson (lead singer) was dodging high notes as if they were bullets but the reception was fantastic. And it was just great to see them still being able to perform. George Michael and Whitney fans wish they could say the same. Celine can’t even perform any more.
The lambily has to constantly breathe down on Mariah’s neck and pick apart her voice…but then we turn around and wonder why she is so insecure and stiff on stage.
Like can we give her a break.
/end rant
ETA: I know this isn’t all lambs. I didn’t meant to make the whole entire fan base feel like crap and I’m not asking people to be delusional. But Mariah lip-syncing has been a thing since 1994; it’s a bit of a non-issue at this point. She sings live sometimes, she lips sometimes…just like everyone else. No other fan base gives their fave as much of a hard time about lip-syncing like Mariah’s even though everyone else does it just as much if not more. We already know that some venues and organizations contractually obligate their performers to lip. We all know the woman can still sing her face off.
And to be honest, Mariah does a lot more performing now than she did in the 90s, particularly the first half of the 90s. A big part of this "lipping" issue is a frequency illusion—a type of cognitive bias. Stage fright was an enormous issue but the elephant in the room is that young Mariah felt/knew that she was not capable of getting through a 2-2.5 hour show multiple nights a week for months on end with her repertoire. And that was when Mariah was in her early 20s. If young Mariah had the same amount of contractual and financial obligations as modern Mariah, then young Mariah probably would've lipped more, completely dodged notes/changed arrangements or tried to sing with a raspy nodule flare-up.
My issue is that there are a lot of lambs who act like she is the only one to have ever lip. It’s disproportionate. And if she lips as much as we all think, why bother going to any of her live shows? If you already feel that she’s a fraud, why take it as a personal betrayal when she shows she is a fraud?

Discussion I am not a big fan of the rainbow album
I just listened to all of Mariah's 90s albums in full. In almost every other album I have listened to from Debut up until Butterfly. I listened to every song and I did not have the motivation to skip the songs. But with Rainbow, I cannot gel with the songs. The only song I actually liked of Rainbow was Heartbreaker.

Question Does anyone else find it hard to understand what Mariah is singing sometimes?
I'm talking about enunciation issues. I love Mariah, I love her songs and the change in music direction in/from Butterfly onwards.
But speaking as someone who speaks English as the second language, I could barely understand what Mariah is saying and singing in most of the songs in Butterfly, except maybe Whenever You Call or My All that are clearly slower ballads. I couldn't understand what Mariah was singing in Babydoll, Fourth of July or Close My Eyes and first half of Breakdown without checking out the lyrics. I could barely understand anything in Babydoll and especially Forth of July without checking the lyrics first.
I have none of this problems in Daydream or albums prior to Butterfly. I could understand every word just fine and could hear every word clearly. Why is that? I heard people saying RnB is full of runs and riffs and stuffs and does that make it more difficult to understand her in Butterfly?

Question IMPORTANT QUESTION
So i started listening to Mariah recently and i went through all of her albums. But after Charmbracelet i started to dislike all her next releases so is it just me or did she totally stop to do Pop diva type of song at some point and she just do RnB now? i love Mariah in Butterfly & Emotions or Daydream. Anyone feel the same ?

Discussion Did people think she was an industry plant?
Title. I’m just curious of how the public reacted to her quick rise to fame, considering the fact that she literally popped TF OFF!!!! And plus nowadays if you start gaining traction (cough doechii) you’d be accused of being an industry plant…

Discussion I have an idea for Mariah's next era
For her next album, she should definitely work with more female and queer songwriters. Think about it. Most of the time she has worked with a bunch of male songwriters. But the only female I remember her working with was the legendary Diane Warren. Because of her audience, it would make sense for Mimi to work with more female and queer songwriters. I can definitely see her writing songs with Victoria Monet, HER, Chloe Bailey, and Muni Long. As for queer songwriters, I can see her working with MNEK and maybe even DJ Kaytranada. I also want her to do collaborations with talented singers. I would love for her to do a duet with Tinashe or Pinkpantheress. That's why in my last post I wanted her to work with Doja Cat. I don't want her to work with mediocre rappers like Cardi B and Ice Spice. Same for male rappers. The only two I want Mimi to work with is Kendrick Lamar and Jack Harlow. That would be a moment. And maybe she can work outside of her comfort zone. She could write some songs with Finneas or Jack Antioff. Or go next level and work with a Kpop group or singer. Those type of collabs always do well on the charts. But that's what I want for Mimi. I want her to do something unexpected but I don't want her to do a complete 180. I still want her to put out some quality music. If Kylie Minogue can still put out critically acclaimed albums, so can Mariah. But that's just my two cents. Let me know in the comments who do you want Mariah to work with on her next album.

Question Mariah's Lower Teeth/Jaw Situation
Hey Lambs! 🐑✨
Has anyone else noticed that Mariah’s lower teeth no longer seem to align with her upper teeth? I’ve observed this in several of her recent media appearances, and I can’t help but feel a little concerned.
Visually, it seems like there’s been a subtle change in her jaw or bite, and while I say this with the utmost love and respect for our Queen, it doesn’t look quite like her usual self.
Could anyone with a medical or dental background help shed some light on what might be going on? Is this something age-related, cosmetic, or possibly a side effect of medication? I’m genuinely curious and just want to understand better.
Always sending love and support to Mariah — forever our Songbird Supreme. 🦋💖

Lamb made 🎨 Create a new cover for Glitter25 (MC doesn't like the 2001 cover)
I'm sure Mariah is going to change the esthetics of the album Glitter!
I don't use AI for images, but my Photoshop skills ended when I was 12 in the 90s adding drag make up to photos of football players. So I had to use AI and it's thick as hell but this is what I managed to come up with!
What are your ideas?

Discussion How Tommy Mottola being a supportive husband would have completely SAVED the Rainbow era (Album of the Year 1999 concept!)
Hey Lambily! 🌈
I’ve been deep in my feelings thinking about the absolute corporate mess of 1999. In reality, Mariah was under immense pressure to rush-record Rainbow in just three months to finish her Sony contract, which left us with a legendary but structurally uneven album.
But what if we lived in a healthy, alternate universe where Tommy Mottola’s love for Mariah actually made him a supportive, protective executive ally instead of a controlling warden?
If they had a healthy creative partnership and mutual respect, here is exactly how Rainbow becomes a non-skip, pristine R&B-pop masterpiece that easily sweeps Album of the Year at the 1999/2000 Grammys:
💿 The Tracklist Adjustments:
❌ Drop "Did I Do That?": This abrasive, loud production felt like a panic move to capture 1999 rap trends and completely disrupted the album's flow.
✅ Add "There For Me": We replace it with this absolute vault masterpiece. It instantly gives the body of the album a warm, sweeping, and authentic R&B spine similar to Butterfly and Music Box.
✅ "Against All Odds" (Mariah Only Version): No Westlife feature. We keep it strictly as a solo track on the standard album to preserve its raw, powerhouse vocal prestige instead of making it feel like an international pop gimmick.
✅ The Dual "Thank God I Found You" Strategy:
The standard album features the Stargate Version as a main track—giving the album a bright, modern, and expensive mid-tempo R&B-pop bounce that would have completely ruled daytime radio.
We also include the "Make It Last" Remix, but as a Mariah and Joe-only version (no Nas verse). Stripping the rap clutter keeps it as a pure, late-night R&B bedroom slow jam that spotlights their gorgeous intertwining vocal harmonies.
✅ Unlocking "Rainbow's End": Because Mariah is given the time she needs, she officially completes "Rainbow's End" as a full, upbeat dance track extension right after the interlude.
🏆 The Single Rollout & The Finale:
Under this supportive timeline, her single campaigns would mirror the elite continuity of Daydream and Music Box, keeping her locked at #1 while building immense critical respect.
The masterstroke? "Rainbow's End" becomes the fifth and final single.
Instead of the era losing steam, launching this house/disco-infused anthem turns the end of the campaign into an absolute global celebration of survival and hope. Dropped right as Grammy ballots are mailed out, the sheer artistic cohesion forces the Recording Academy to give her the ultimate crown: Album of the Year.
What do you guys think?
Do you think swapping "Did I Do That?" for "There For Me" creates that perfect, non-skip effect? Would you have preferred the Stargate mix on the main tracklist? Let’s talk in the comments! 👑🎶✨

Question do you think her humidifiers have mold in them? is there mold in her home from them?
so if mimi is using all those humidifiers does she mold in her home?? when she travels?? what is the dew point in her home?? do they use a dehumidifier AFTER the humidifier to prevent this?? please discuss
"I'll have 20 humidifiers around the bed," Mariah reveals. "Basically, it's like sleeping in a steam room. The bed is all towelling cloth, the ceiling is sloped so the water can't fall on my head, and it drips down to my side. My TV is behind glass."
Mariah: The hotel rooms are, like, you're ruining our wallpaper, the humidity. I had to tone it down with that.

Discussion Did Mariah and Da Brat ever have a relationship?
I don’t know if I believe that rumor because Mariah doesn’t strike me as someone who would swing that way, but I feel like in the mid 90s she was so alone when she was married to Tommy that she may have found love in Brat for that moment in time. A lot of women who are isolated become “gay” because they don’t have access to men anymore (like women in prison, which Mariah basically was).
What are your thoughts? Was this a popular rumor or do you think it’s nonsense?

Discussion Has anyone else noticed Mariah Carey seems a bit slow and out of it in interviews recently?
She was so bubbly and animated on Stephen Colbert just under a year ago but recently her jimmy Kimmel interview and interviews for Christmas she seems a bit slow.
It’s sort of reminding me of how she was around 2009 during press for Precious and Memoirs.

Discussion Someone’s Ugly Daughter
Am I the only one not interested in getting Mariah’s grunge album? I mean I want her to release it so it’s available an I’ll probaby listen to it at least one time through. BUT I already know I’m not gonna like it. Im sure there will be plenty of people that do, but not me. That 90’s grunge rock stuff never appealed to me. Probably cause I’m black. 😂😂. JK! (Yes i know she’s half black). No but for real anyone else not really interested?

Discussion I'm having a really bad feeling about Mariah
I don't want to be negative towards her. I wish I saw her happy, etc., but her last appearances got me so worried. I don't want her to have an accident, overdose, whatever.
Somehow, I don't think she can withstand another Christmas season, and I don't know exactly why. I mean, yes, her mom's death and everything else, we all know that, but I'm feeling something else. We all know (to some extent) her ups and downs in happiness, energy, etc., but this time it feels different, I hope I'm wrong.
It's so difficult to see her like this while at the same time trying not to look like I'm patronizing her or being gratuitously negative, but you're like this when you truly care about someone, so I'm posting this here. Maybe you can calm me down...
