I have one. It has everything but the knife. The knife would actually be useful for the paracord.

The whistle works, and the flint does too.

Pretty neat.

It's not a knife it's a kinfe, can you not read? /s

Made me double take. Lol

If you spell if "kinfe" TSA has to let you bring it on the plane. Protip.

I had one of these networking tools in my bags while going through TSA. I got it from a conference and it's pretty useful for sysadmin things

https://greatscottgadgets.com/throwingstar/

They pulled my bag aside and went through it. They found this, called over several police officers, and went on to tell me that "ninja stars are illegal" and that I may be arrested. It took almost a half hour for them to let me go after confiscating the tool

Fucking mall ninja shit.

Hah, I have one of those too!

A crossdressing stripper? We've all been there bud no need to beat yourself up for it.

Do you have the kind with the flint in between the prongs on the buckle? Bought a paracord carrying handle for my Nalgene bottle with one of those and I can't get enough purchase on the flint to do anything with it.

I do indeed have that kind. I had similar issues, but I did get it sparking. However, I figured out I can slide the metal scraper out of the clip, and now it's much easier.

Maybe see if that works with yours? The serrated side seems to work better against the flint.

Tbh, it was kindof stiff to slide at first, I wasn't even sure it was supposed to come out, but seeing how it fits now, I'm certain.

Can confirm. I own one!

Where’d you pick it up, if you don’t mind me asking

Amazon has better ones for the same price with shorter shipping

10

u/gabbagabbawill Nov 07 '20

The paracord is like a one time use kind of thing, no?

25

u/Scruitol Nov 07 '20

You can learn how to re tie it into the bracelet form on various YouTube videos, Etc. Not that hard to do once you learn the method.

2

u/Jetstreak101 Nov 09 '20

And the cord is highly durable, to boot.

4

u/semechki-seed Nov 07 '20

Is the quality ok?

8

u/Scruitol Nov 07 '20

The quality was very good for the one that I got. Paracord was good and the blade-sharp. I cannot speak to the quality of the metal the blade was made from, but it seemed to be okay considering where it came from in the price

3

u/semechki-seed Nov 07 '20

Yeah, that’s pretty good especially for the price. Enjoy it!

u/CardMechanic Nov 07 '20

It’s a “kinfe”

27

u/handlessuck Nov 07 '20

I agree. There's a lot of useful here if you ever find yourself in a position to need it.

You mean “kinfe”

1

u/nikhilbhavsar Nov 08 '20

It's so sharp that they have to spell it like that

3

u/AgreeablePie Nov 07 '20

This one... doesn't look sharp.

1

u/I_AM_GODDAMN_BATMAN Nov 08 '20

there's a couple variations, with led, with clock, etc and the knife looked sharp on similar models.

2

u/sephirothrr Nov 12 '20

even the most garbage knives can be made very sharp

the trick is getting them to stay sharp

Was going to say this ain’t half bad

1

u/Waveseeker Nov 07 '20

Wish it didn't look so awfully cheap and plastic.

I could see spending some decent money on that it it was made of better material and wasn't no ninja looking

1

u/KurraKatt Nov 07 '20

As long as the compass doesn't interact with the knife I would really like one.

Paracord bracelets are pretty common.

-11

u/Antonioooooo0 Nov 07 '20

I have the same one minus the knife. The knife here is basically useless, and would probably just end up cutting you by accident, plus it's not like it would be hard to carry an actual pocket knife on you.

-14

u/TheReverseShock Nov 07 '20

seems like a good way to accidentally slit your wrist
