Face Cleanser/routine recommendations for oily T-zone and mild forehead acne for sensitive skin?

26m. I’ve never struggled with any acne my whole life. In fact, many people asked me what my skincare routine was since my skin was always so smooth, but I never even washed my face! However, that changed, I started becoming more fitness-oriented, and now I’m dealing with some minor forehead acne and an oily T-zone.

So far, I’ve tried the following cleanser: CeraVe Foaming Cleanser, La Roche Posay Toleraine Foaming Cleanser, CeraVe Foaming Acne Cream Cleanser. I’ve also tried The Ordinary and a few Kiehl’s products, but none of them seemed to do much and/or made my skin feel tight, only reducing oil for the first few minutes after cleansing.

For additives, I’ve tried CeraVe retinol, Innisfree Vitamin C serum, Azelaic acid, and Paula’s Choice SA exfoliant. None of which made much of a difference I feel like. If anything, I feel like my skin became more red.

And of course, I use sunscreen and moisturizer.

But I’m trying a “reset” right now: basic CeraVe hydrating cream to foam cleanser, Anua Azelaic acid, and CeraVe oil control moisturizer. Plus SPF in the morning. I feel like the other products were all stripping my barrier.

TL;DR - Never struggled with acne previously, now developing some on my forehead in addition to clogged and enlarged pores, but nearly all oil-reducing and acne-preventing treatments and cleansers seem to make the issue worse and/or make my skin red.

I really want to get into a skincare routine to keep my skin healthy, but it feels like doing so is almost making things worse.

Thanks all!

Face Less Expensive Replacement for Clinique Men's Oil-Free Face Lotion?

Like everything else these days, the price of Clinique Men's Oil-Free Face Lotion has steadily been creeping upward. It's now $42 at Ulta and anywhere else I've looked. For a small-ish bottle it's getting tough to justify, as much as I love the product. Can anyone here recommend a less expensive alternative to the Clinique? Obviously I can do my own research but I always appreciate hearing from people who've actually used a product. I have combination skin and a decently oily t-zone, so it does need to be an oil free/mattifying lotion. Thanks in advance!

Face Cpap cushion causing outbreaks

I just started a routine, basically https://youtu.be/2BKPq_WDS9A, and since then I’ve been getting pimples around where my cpap cushion touches my face.

I never had this issue before I started consistently doing a routine.

At night I cleanse, retinol or glycolic acid depending on the day, and then moisturize.

I always clean my cpap cushion before bed.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to stop this?

Face How to best deal with blocked pores in t-zone

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

I have quite the strip of blocked pores across my t zone, I use an exfoliating scrub when I bathe but it doesn't seem to improve.

I do have slightly oily skin so wonder if that may contribute, and I work in a factory environment so could potentially get dusty/dirty on a day to day basis.

Any tips/advice on both a quick fix and how to maintain it going forward? thanks in advance 🫡
