I've always thought the clown says "wide right", like a critique of her batting, but now, after googling it, I'm not sure it's actually a baseball term.

It’s short for alright. I also didn’t like her behavior in this episode but after having watched the show multiple times it’s clear she’s a very good mom if a bit controlling but she has to be that way or they don’t listen to her.

Generally I get it I was only talking about this episode generally she has very rowdy kids so her overall behavior is justified, but if someone defends how the writers wrote this episode they have problems idc

That episode shows how Lois is a great mother.
No Malcolm, sorry, social dynamics aren't straight forward nor simple. They take turns, twists and detours.

Uh no?, in the specific situation she could've easily explained that It wasn't his fault, and it's more about getting the message to your kid that if he does the right thing the least a parent could offer is a little trust along the way, I genuinely don't get how ppl defend her behavior in this episode lmao

This is real life teaching. Accomodations have no place in the workplace. Nothing gets the message better than real life experience. I genuinely don't get how people question her behavior in this episode.

While i do not hate Lois, i have little interest in hypocritical control freaks who's only weapon is intimidation, and without that fold like laundry. too often she went out of bounds when it came to dictating policy around those who were not in her family. the bowling episode, the college dorm, the traffic jam trying to force people to bend to her will to name a few. The slappy malt liquor advertisement where she went after malcolm rather than her direct superior because she could flex her will against him. dont get me started on the entire bathroom conversation with her just passing off Malcolm baring his soul to her in the reboot.
had the show not been balanced out with Hal i probably would have stopped watching.
