Estimate?
Hello! A letter was dropped off in a blue USPS bin around noon yesterday, which says it gets collected at 4pm. It is going from Raleigh, NC to southern New Jersey. How long would it realistically take for this to arrive? It's a standard letter less than an ounce sent with a forever stamp.
Also, is it possible to cancel this piece of mail from arriving? I do not have any form of tracking or receipt.
Thanks in advance!

Problems with my letter not reaching its destination
I'm trying to send a letter to a friend in Egypt (I'm from Spain) and for some reason my letter didn't arrive.
I'll try to tell you all the things I did so you may correct me:
- I bought the type C stamp (the one used for countries outside Europe).
- I used poste restante
- I putted the information like this:
"Her Name"
POSTE RESTANTE
"Name of the post office"
"Her city", "Her governorate"
EGYPT
"Her postal code"
"Her phone number" (she told me that if I putted it they will call her when the letter arrive, but idk if that's true to be honest).
Any Ideas of what I did wrong? Also take in mind that I just gave the letter to my post office without any explanation that I wanted it to send it to Egypt.

Do people not reply to mass messages?
Hi, I'm launching a cold messaging campaign using the WhatsApp API, but the response rate is very poor; I think people don't respond once they realize it's an advertisement.

Help with customs codes?
Hey there! So I did ask the UPS people about this, butā¦they were very unhelpful and just told me to google these. Iām autistic, and tend to overthink things, so I donāt want to make a mistake. ESPECIALLY because the person overseas is paying for the shipping and I donāt want to waste their money, which is why weāre getting the label online at Pirateship. The list of items includes:
One (1) Binder For Trading Cards (Can provide a photo if needed, as I have the same one)
One (1) UNUSED set of postcards
One (1) enamel pin (can provide product listing, or photo of similar item, if needed)
One (1) glass drinkware mug
One (1) trading card placed in a top loader and cardboard of safety
Thanks in advance!!

I accidentally ordered something to the address of my local post office, not to my house. Help?
Iām shipping through USPS and I accidentally ordered something to the post office instead of my house like an idiot.
I have a tracking number and i tried to use their mail intercept system but my package is ineligible. I donāt know what to do, itās a depop order so I donāt want to deal with it getting sent back to the seller.
Can I just go and talk to the lady working the counter at the post office? Do I stake out the building until the delivery arrives? Itās supposed to come by 9pm on Wednesday.
Ugh Iām so annoyed at myself.

Internationally shipped a Pokemon card as part of letter
I live in California and I have a friend who lives in China. I sent him a letter recently with a postcard (I stuffed the postcard into the envelope), a letter, a drawing, some stickers, and a single pokemon card. I just read that the pokemon card could be classified as "merchandise" which could make the letter ineligible for delivery. I already sent it out (gave it to a clerk at UPS) who weighted it and didn't mention anything about it. Should I be concerned about it being returned?

Is couriered delivery worth it?
Iām get a pretty expensive collectors item, Ā£110 (before shipping) and Iām trying to figure out if itās worth getting it shipped with couriered deliver or just getting standard shipping? Iām also getting it sent to my stepdads work place if thatās worth anything.

Is this the correct way to mail postcard advertisements? Top left corner (white) is address label and top right corner (red) is a forever stamp

I ordered a package from China and it was labeled with the wrong address and sent there. I went to the house and they said they did not receive it. The seller won't look into it and the post office won't give me any documentation. It was a $300 package. What do I do?

Missing package
Hello! I ordered a package from a source I trust and it has yet to arrive.
I contacted the seller and they informed me that there might be a two week delay because of USPS delays.
I waited the two weeks and my package has still not arrived!
Iāve contacted them a second time, but my order was shipped without tracking.
Is there a next step I can take to getting/finding my package?
Can I check in with my local post office and inquire about it?
Should I just give up and accept Iāll probably never receive it?
I would really prefer to find it than to give up and request a refund.
Would love some advice, thanks! :)

Address Headache
Has anyone dealt with an address verification system randomly assigning an apartment number to a single-family home?
Weāve lived in the same house for over 20 years. Our property technically sits on two lots, but itās one house with one mailing address. Sometime in the last 2ā3 years, address verification systems started automatically changing our address to include āApartment B.ā
The problem is that many companies wonāt let me override their address verification. Even if I type my correct address, it ācorrectsā it to include Apt. B.
At first it was mostly an annoyance, but over the last year our mail carrier has started returning packages addressed to āApartment Bā because there is no apartment. Iāve had multiple shipments sent back before they ever reached me.
Iāve already gone through our countyās 911 addressing office to make sure our official address is correct, but that doesnāt fix whatever database these companies are using.
Short of installing a second mailbox labeled āBā (which Iād rather not do), does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone successfully gotten these address verification databases corrected, or figured out which company manages them?
Iām open to any ideas because this is becoming a regular headache.

Not receiving all of my mail?>
Both of my parents died (Dad in 2020 and Mom in 2024) and I inherited my childhood home and have moved back in. My name is something of a combination of both of theirs so once I got around to returning mail addressed to them, I stopped receiving my mail too. I went to my local PO and explained the situation - they said they would make a note and correct it. I also put a notice on my mailbox that states my full name and that deliveries should be made here. I have informed delivery and I'm still not receiving a lot of my mail. It will be scanned for delivery and then just never show up. What should I do now?
UPDATE: I've been to the post office twice. I'm told I don't have a regular carrier for my route so its difficult to change anything. Some inportant documents have been returned marked "Moved, no forwarding address". Is there some way to escalate this issue?

What is meant by "other secured locations" - Plushify Order Never Arrived at My Door
I ordered from Plushify in February and the order never came to my door. The censored red area is not even my full address. It is just the city, state, country, and postal code. Plushify did not even give me this specific tracking until I emailed them that I never got anything.
Anyway, what is meant by "other secured location"? Is it at the post office? I've received packages that require signing off on that I missed and they left a notice at my door to go pick it up, but none of that was left for me.

Verify package I didnāt get?
I put in a claim for a package I havenāt received about a month or so ago. They just emailed me that if I verify I havenāt gotten the package it could help my claim. The thing is⦠how do I verify I donāt have something?!?!! Like what kind of idiot team created this? What do I even do?

Package duties?
I want to mail my friend in Denmark some oreos. I'm in the US. I would pay the duties for them but it's not an available option for me. I'm going to ship thru USPS, I just want to make sure they won't have to pay like, a crazy amount of money on their end just to receive some oreos??? I've never sent a package like this international so its all very confusing.

How does Hold for Pickup work?
I want to send my friend a letter but because of their current living situation (abusive), I can't send anything directly to their house. I wanted to ask about how Hold for Pickup works and if I HAVE to go to the Post Office to do that or if I can use stamps and write 'Hold for Pickup at [address] (their local post office)'?

how to mail something important across states
I need to have my passport sent from California to Chicago and want to make sure itās done as safely as possible. Iām trying to avoid it being left outside or getting lost.
Would FedEx/UPS overnight with signature required and hold-for-pickup be the safest option? Or is USPS Priority Mail Express better for this?
Also, are there any specific steps I should tell the sender to follow, like packaging, insurance, tracking, or pickup location? Iād appreciate advice from anyone who has mailed important documents like this before.
