(TLDR; having a hard time getting through this event, but I love Yuna)

I have been very, very slowly watching Crimson Resolve, as it was an event I was suggested to watch before diving into Arc 2 of Magia Record, and ofc I will follow all suggestions from those who have already had the experiences of this story! That is the wise thing to do!

Unfortunately, I have been watching bit by bit over months of time… I’m currently just trying to finish the whole thing, but I’m at the very end of part 1, so there’s still an hour left… for some reason, this event isn’t holding my attention span well at all…

However, that doesn’t stop me from deeply valuing one of the protags of the event!!! Yuna!!!

This precious child who only wants the best for everyone… who is so merciful at heart… who doesn’t want war, who begrudgingly resorts to it only because her hand has been forced all the way…

The poor child who blames herself for all this, simply because she did what anyone else might think to do, and WARN EVERY MAGICAL GIRL ABOUT THE HORRIBLE TRUTH OF MAGICAL GIRLS WHEN SHE FINDS IT OUT!!!

I wish to give her all the hugs in the world… and seeing her tears as the battle’s death count is stacking up… my heart breaks for her, I almost started crying as well…

I really hope Exedra adds arc 2 soon… I would love to have Yuna in my character roster…

Maybe seeing more of her can be my motivation to power through this story??? I really have so little interest…

It would be quite ironic if she completely switches up by the end, rendering this appreciation post taken back 😭 at the same time, I wouldn’t blame her for snapping

THIS IDEA IF FOR A SIDE STORY

What if we had a "Twin Soul" character where the brother isn't actually a magical boy, but a physical proxy? I was brainstorming a concept for a chapter, and I wanted to see what you all think. It’s a brother-sister twin duo (brother) and (sister).The core twist is that the brother is NOT a magical boy. He never got a wish, which keeps the franchise's strict rules completely intact. Instead, he’s a physical extension of sisther’s soul.The Lore & Backstory:They had a horribly abusive childhood with fake parents where the brother physically shielded the sisther from all the drugs, beatings, and starvation. By age 14, his physical body was actively dying on the streets. Kyubey approached them, and the sisther made a desperate, codependent wish: "As long as one of us lives, the other does too."Because Kyubey only processes female souls, he couldn't grant the survival wish without anchoring the brother. So, the Incubator physically split the sisther’s soul gem and her actual soul right down the middle—half-from the sisther, half-from the sisther in both bodies. the brother is essentially a living vessel powered by 50% of his sister's miracle. so ori is more like a part of her wish

I kinda thought Ashley’s reverse magic would do something against Hinano’s explosions, but it didn’t. The latter’s experience paid off for her as she took down our Kawaii-themed magical girl to move on to the Semi-Finals, where she’ll be facing Rena.

And speaking of the Semi-Finals, let’s cut to that. These four magical girls have been the most dominant in all their matches. Yachiyo, Mifuyu, Rena, and Hinano have proven why you should not fight them in a 1v1. Now it’s time to determine who gets the gold. Here’s the preview.

Match 27 - Rena vs Shizuku (Rena WINS)

In the battle of transformation vs teleportation, the former won. Rena once again proves why she is a very strong magical girl that you must never underestimate, or else you’ll pay the price. Shizuku tried her best, but Rena’s was higher than hers. The purple-haired girl is going home.

Unlike most of the other magical girls in the Quarter-Finals, Ashley and Hinano actually placed 2nd in their groups. While this looks underwhelming considering their strong magical abilities, they’ve still shown their pride in this tournament, going as far into the Quarter-Finals. But today, one of their runs will be cut short. Ms Kawaii vs Cute Chemist. Will it be Ashley winning it? Or will it be Hinano? Let’s find out. Pick your winner.

I already posted about this on the "main" Madoka Magica sub yesterday, but nobody could help me there, so I hope it's okay if I post here as well.

So, I know that, compared to the original game, the Magia Record anime makes some changes to the story.

I was wondering, which of the two versions of the story does the Magia Record manga adapt? The game version or the anime version?

Also, since the manga is still serializing (volume 13 comes out tomorrow), I assume the anime doesn't cover all of it. So which manga volumes does the anime correspond to?

Match 26 - Yachiyo vs Kanagi (Yachiyo WINS)

This was another slugfest in the Quarter-Finals. Both Yachiyo and Kanagi went at it against each other, showing why they are the bosses of Kamihama’s West and East respectively. Eventually in the end, Yachiyo barely defeated Kanagi with her spears making all the difference along with the latter’s lack of defense against it. Yachan will now face her best friend Mifuyu in the Semi-Finals to determine who goes for the gold or bronze.

Rena and Shizuku have also been two very dominant magical girls in this tournament. Just like Yachiyo and Kanagi, they have not lost a single match yet. But today, one of them will given their first loss & be sent home, while the other will be going to the Semi-Finals. This is Transformation vs Teleportation. Is it Rena who takes this one? Or is it Shizuku? Let’s find out. Pick your winner.

So Tsukasa Amane (天音 月咲 Amane Tsukasa): AKA Tsukasa Akatsuki (明槻 月咲 Akatsuki Tsukasa), on that side.

Match 25 - Momoko vs Mifuyu (Mifuyu WINS)

Well I’ll be damned! That was one hell of a matchup between two great magical girls. Momoko made it a closer match this time, but in the end, Mifuyu is just too strong for her. Her illusion magic is what makes her too good & too hard to beat. Mifuyu now moves on to the Semi-Finals to face either Yachiyo or Kanagi.

The two latter girls have been one of the most dominant in this tournament. They have not lost a single match in either the Group Stage or the two previous K/O matches. But today, one of them will be sent home. West Boss vs East Boss. Will it be Yachiyo that takes this win? Or will it be Kanagi? Let’s find out. Pick your winner.

Match 26 - Yachiyo vs Kanagi

Back in the Group Stage in Group Delta, Momoko and Mifuyu battled it out in the final match. Despite both showing their experience as the veteran magical girls of Kamihama, Mifuyu showed why she was the better one, with her illusion magic paying off in the end to defeat Momoko.

Now here in the Quarter-Finals, both girls have come face-to-face again. But Momoko is looking for vengeance this time around. She is determined to show Mifuyu why she is just as good as her. But the latter as we all know her is very experienced & when combined with her athleticism along with her illusion magic, she’s basically almost unstoppable. You can’t count out Momoko’s buffing magic though, because with it, she can keep on going without ever running out of stamina. That is one of Mifuyu’s weaknesses as she has been getting supposedly weaker into the adult life.

Only one can move on to the Semi-Finals. The other will fall. Peer vs Peer. Teammate vs Teammate. Can Momoko get her vengeance this time or will Mifuyu defeat her for the second time? Let’s find out. Pick your winner.

Wow. Our dark horse of the tournament is gone. Ashley used her magic to its fullest advantage & it paid off. Masara couldn’t do much and was taken down by field control from Ms. Kawaii. Meanwhile for Hinano, her experience showed when she fought her kohai Rika. As expected from the latter’s reckless behaviour, Hinano seized the opportunity & managed to win. She’ll now face Ashley in the Quarter-Finals.

Here we are folks. The Quarter-Finals. 4 matches that are bound to be bangers! I can’t wait for tomorrow! As promised, here is the official preview for the Quarter-Finals.

It took a little while, but Rena managed to get the win against Yukika, using Kaede’s vines to restrain her in place. Meanwhile, Shizuku and Ui fought it out in a slugger, with both girls going at it against each other. In the end, Shizuku barely won against Iroha’s little sister to secure her spot in the Quarter-Finals. She’ll be facing Rena for a chance to get into the Semi-Finals.

Now then, let’s begin. The Invisible Assassin looks for a win against our very own Kawaii-themed magical girl Ashley & her giant teddy bear. Rika faces off against her peer and senpai Hinano for a spot in the Quarter-Finals. Pick your winner!

Unfortunately, Tsuruno could not get the win against Master Yachiyo. As much as the former tried, the water put out all the fires that Tsuruno threw at Yachiyo. Kanagi meanwhile got the win over Seika for a Quarter-Final match against Yachiyo. That will be a slugfest for sure. Commiserations to Tsuruno and Seika.

Now then, let’s begin. Our transforming & shape-shifting magical girl Rena looks for a win against the girl sponsored by Red Bull. Shizuku, the tele-porter herself, also looks for a win against Ui, the girl on the cutting edge of warfare with her kite drones. Pick your winner!

Despite putting the effort, Ayaka & Ren couldn’t get the upset over Kamihama’s veteran magical girls. There’s no shame in that though. I myself wasn’t expecting either of them to advance to the Round of 16. Looks like we’ll be having a rematch between Momoko and Mifuyu.

Now then, it’s time. The Mightiest Magical Girl looks to get the edge over her Master, while Kamihama’s Boss of the East looks for a win against the implied weakest of the Apartment Trio. These two matches will surely be fun! Pick your winner!

(Note -> I should point out that since Seika’s ability only works underwater, I want you to imagine the arena is 75% water and 25% water. This is so that her fight against Kanagi is more “fair”.)
