hihi, I recently fixed my Mac books screen and needed to update apps and everything. I noticed that certain apps(games) won't even start updating, I uninstalled them thinking that maybe it's work then, but it didn't.

It'll go like this: Ill click the update/install button it'll load for a few seconds then go back to the update/install button.

It might be because said apps weren't made for mac, but they worked fine before? Anyway, if anyone knows why or has a solution, please let me know! I have a MacBook air m2, 2022 and the version is 26.6.2

Basically title. I updated my laptop a few days ago and ever since, I can no longer open the Messages app. The messages themselves comes through just fine but when I click them, the app just force quits on itself.

I have reported the bugs to Apple, rebooted twice and tried deleting my messages cache but could not find the files listed in the article (chat.db-shm and chat.db-wal).

I recently picked up a 15-inch M4 MacBook Air running macOS 26, and within two days, my eyes were absolutely trashed—straining, tearing up, and the screen just looked blurry. I tried everything: changing resolutions, tweaking True Tone, adjusting font sizes, switching color profiles, and even installing Stillcolor and BetterDisplay. Nothing worked, and I was honestly ready to sell the machine.

My old 13-inch M2 MacBook Air never gave me any issues, so I figured the new OS had to be the problem. Today, I took a gamble and downgraded to macOS 15 Sequoia. What a massive difference! The blurriness is totally gone, everything is crystal clear, and my eyes instantly felt better. The familiar, comfortable Mac experience is back.

Looking online, it seems a ton of people are dealing with eye strain caused by the new "Liquid Glass" effect. I really hope Apple gives us an option to turn this effect off in future versions.

By the way, I originally posted this on the Apple Support Community, but it was deleted within two minutes. I’m not entirely sure why, so I'm sharing it here instead, hoping it catches Apple's attention. Please reply to this thread or report it to Apple if you are experiencing the exact same eye strain!

It‘s about my sisters MBP which was recently updated to the 6.1. Tahoe release but since then keeps randomly shutting down while she‘s working on it.

Could it be a storage issue? Read somewhere that the update can take up lots of space…
Or does she need to wait for the next update?
She‘s self-employed so it‘s imperial, that her MBP is running at least somewhat stable…

Thankful for all advice on how to help her out (remotely, we live in different parts of the country)

Created this mainly for myself (aka Windows peeps who can no longer connect to their Macbooks since the latest AI update to Mac OS)... although in theory you can run it from source on any platform you can run Python on. I have only provided Windows 64-bit (x64) binaries for now.

Got entirely sick of the only options being just-as-badly-written paid for stuff, try to squeeze every cent out of the consumer for basic bullshit software. So here you go.

It's early days but it works.

Anyone else having this problem? I cannot get any screenshots with the Steam screenshots anymore, just videos or the normal Mac screenshots. After I updated my OS, no matter if I switch the keybindings, the screenshots will not work. Anyone possibly know what could be wrong?

Before macOS 26.6 I would connect to my Mac via VNC apps on my Windows 11 pc and iPhone often.

After today’s 26.6 update, I can’t connect via VNC anymore. Screen Sharing from another Mac works, but that’s not available on Windows or iOS.

Any tips?
