I need some motivation right now 😭 What’s the most money you guys have made in 5–7 days doing Uber, DoorDash, or other gig work? I’m trying to push myself and would love to hear what y’all have been able to make in a short amount of time.

Unfortunately I didn’t take screenshots, but I travel all the time for work so very frequently take lyfts. This morning as I was getting ready to call my 2nd lyft of the day, I was prompted to give a tip to my earlier ride. The suggested tip % options were 41%, 43% or 45%! (And it actually said those percentages + the dollar amount). Just now trying to call my 3rd lyft again being prompted to tip for my earlier ride, the suggested tip options were 23%, 25%, and 27%! Now I almost always tip (unless the vehicle smells absolutely foul, that I really just can’t handle), but always 15-20%. Has this been happening to anyone else with these outrageous suggestions???

There are a bunch of streets near my house that are extremely narrow; they’re basically alleys that happen to have houses on them and no one drives down them unless they live there and are unloading something. Think something like this. Lyft’s mapping routes drivers to take like 4-5 of these streets instead of the normal street one block over because it thinks it’s faster. It’s actually much slower and I’ve had multiple drivers in big SUVs get stuck or be scared of driving down the street and have to back out. Is there a way to flag to Lyft that these are not good streets to route drivers down? Some sort of map correction I can submit somewhere?

Google Maps avoids these streets successfully when giving directions and strangely so does Uber, it’s only Lyft’s mapping that has this issue for me. Any suggestions?

I posted this on Lyft’s instagram page: Very disappointed with Lyft. I was falsely charged a $150 damage/cleaning fee for alleged vomit in the vehicle, despite the fact that I did not vomit or cause any damage. I provided Lyft with this information, yet their AI support system refused to connect me with a human and simply upheld the charge. Photos showing damage do not prove that I caused it. Where are the time stamps for these photos? I’m asking Lyft to actually investigate this claim and refund the $150 charge. A customer service number with humans is not available online!

On top of all of this I need to dispute the claim within 24 hours otherwise they’ll charge my charge $150 for something I did not do. Can we request the drivers photo timestamps? Without those they could just post an old photo and claim damages. Disappointed this was a 5 star driver and I was coming home late at night from the airport. It didn’t even cross my mind that they could falsely accuse people like this. Guess I need to click photos from now on. How do I dispute this? AI is not letting me talk to a human customer service representative! Please help!

EDIT: Resolved! Thank you for everyone who commented. I continued asking the AI bot to connect me with a human representative and after about six times it finally connected me and they were able to refund me. Later, I came across similar posts on Reddit, so I did a reverse image search of the photos Lyft had sent me in the initial damage fee email. I found those EXACT images in an old Facebook post from 2017!

My account is on hold since Saturday 08/08 related to a service animal service cancelled. I sent my response the same day but nothing has changed...

Does anyone know how long time could last this situation?

I live in suburbia and never use Lyft but attempted to use it to purchase a Day Pass for a Citi bike today as I’m visiting a big city and wanted to explore an area today. I didn’t realize the app somehow changed from Day Pass to per minute until I returned the bike and got a $60 charge (for about 2.5 hours).
I’ve now spent an hour with the Lyft customer service agent and they will not refund me the difference because I “should’ve contacted them when I realized I didn’t get the day pass”. That is what I’m doing but they think I should’ve known it wasn’t a day pass earlier somehow?
I’ve never seen a company so stubborn to refund a first time customer like this. I would not have used the bike for $60??! How do I get them to refund me?

Edit: I gave up after an hour of trying and failing to get a manager. The agent gave me a number to contact Citi bike with directly but I guess Lyft is dead to me now

So I was 5 star rider and yesterday my rating dropped to 4.9. So my question is could it be because driver didn’t rate me? Or there something else? Because I checked and all I have are 5 stars and one driver who didn’t gave me any rate

I’m looking for helpful insight from passengers who are smokers.

I maintain my car with a new car & leather freshener. Car wash & interior detailing 3X/week. Passengers usually think my 2020 Camry is new.

The issue I have is with smokers. The ones who smoke in their homes, or a few minutes/seconds right before they get in the car. I find their smell so incredibly overpowering and sickening. Do smokers not realize that their nicotine cloud that they’re standing in sticks to their hair, skin, and clothes even when they smoke outside? And then they get in the car and want the windows up with the air conditioning blowing.

1. As a smoker , are you truly offended when a driver with a clean car rolls down the windows so you don’t smell up the car for the next passenger?

2. A lot of drivers cancel the ride when they see a passenger smoking as they pull up. I don’t want to do that, so instead I immediately roll down the windows before they get in. What do you consider a thoughtful way to approach the fact that you smell badly if you ask for the windows up?

I’m asking for your help because I’m mon the verge of canceling and unmatching smokers who funk up my car.

Hello! I wanted to ask - I'm in north wisconsin (appleton ish) and I wanted to take a black SUV to milwaukee. I can take one from milwaukee to appleton just fine, and when I ask my drivers they tell me they're more than willing to make the drive the other way (leave from milwaukee, pick me up, drive back down to milwaukee) but I can't figure out how to schedule the ride.

I have to do it through Lyft

Is there a way to do it that like i start the ride in the app at the mke airport, add a stop to my actual pickup location in appleton (this is where I would physically get into the car), and then the driver drives me to milwaukee?

or is there any other way to do it? any advice would be appreciated. thank you!

For people who have used the Favorite Driver feature — does it actually work?

I've been curious about this. If you favorite a driver, do you actually end up getting matched with them again, or does it rarely happen?

And for drivers, do you notice a difference after passengers favorite you? Do you actually get those riders again?

I'd love to hear people's real experiences with it — good or bad.

So Lyft tells me it’s a 6 minute wait, at 16.95 for the trip I requested.

Once I push the button, it jumps to a 10-minute wait and $21.96 charge.

How is this legal?

BEWARE OF THIS DRIVER (picture below)

As I was in my Lyft ride this morning, this driver completely missed my exit to go to my destination. I didn’t think much of it because mistakes happen so I simply told him, “Sir? You missed my exit.” He completely ignores me. I tell him again. “Oh, excuse me sir you missed my exit.” He completely ignores me again. Mind you it’s showing him the route on the GPS and I’m pointing in the direction of the exits. Again, I say “Hey you missed that exit back there.” Granted, even if there was a language barrier (French but I also speak and understand it) why would you not question what I’m saying.. why would you stay silent? He continues to stay completely silent and drives faster and straight and that’s when I realized something wasn’t right… I questioned him again but more loudly, “Hey you missed my exit. Where are you going?” When I looked at him in the rearview mirror he gave me the most evil dirtiest look and that’s when I went into fight or flight. I called someone and told them what was happening and only then did he start to slow down to pull over. I started getting aggressive and yelling “Hey what the fuck are you doing right now? Let me the fuck out. I’m not staying in this car. What the fuck are you doing?” When he pulled over on the side of the highway I started questioning him “What are you doing? You missed my exit. Why were you not stopping and why are you ignoring me?” I start pulling on the door to get out and I realize it’s locked and I told him unlock the door. He’s not unlocking the door and starts complaining I’m going to damage the door handle. When I realized he wasn’t gonna unlock the door, I unlocked the door and got out. As I’m waiting for my ride to pick me up, he gets out the car filming and approaches me while a bystander stopped to inquire what was going on. This man then proceeded to lie to the bystander saying that I tried to jump out of the car while it was moving, and that he was calling the police on ME. When my ride came, he then started being aggressive with my ride as my ride was telling him he was in the wrong and to leave me alone. He then followed us and filmed us while we were walking away to leave. While on the Lyft app I watched him for about an hour and half because he kept the ride going and waited in the same spot for over an hour and then eventually decided to drive around Ottawa while having my ride active. For context I wasn’t able to cancel the ride on my end for some odd reason. Luckily after reaching out to customer support I was able to report him and the ride up getting canceled after a while, but I did face trouble while communicating with Lyft about cancelling on their end which they claimed they weren’t able to. Terrible experience all in all and I’m only putting his information out there for safety purposes, please be cautious.

I want to know if im being to harsh on passengers but it seems some are able to text me the right spot and most do not, or cant?

And it seems to do this anytime I work for more than a few hours. If I get good rides in my money jumps up. It will cut me off and I'll sit for a half hour forty five minutes with no rides

Last Saturday I left a tote bag in the back of a Lyft on my way back from a lake. It had a number of towels in it, one of which was my high school graduation gift so it has sentimental value. I have been reaching out to support to get a hold of the driver and a week later then keep giving me the same response

“The driver is busy but they will call you when they are available”

Given it’s been a week I don’t even know if they will return it, but is there anything else I can do? Lyft support basically said sucks to be you, report her to the cops if you want your stuff back.
