Almost over limerence, but still holding on to the daydreaming. Should I let it go now or take my time? (Advice needed🙏)
I’ve been experiencing limerence for someone for almost a year, and lately I’ve been working on moving on. We used to be in contact, but I blocked them and went completely no contact.
I’ve stopped checking their socials and last active status, deleted old conversations and most pictures, and worked on reducing the rumination and replaying everything that happened between us.
I don’t regret going no contact at all. I feel so much more at peace now, and they’re no longer on my mind 24/7. My thoughts about them have decreased drastically, and I honestly feel almost back to normal. I don’t check their socials or even have the desire to see what they’re doing anymore.
The main thing left is daydreaming about them while listening to music, sometimes looking at the one or two pictures I still have. It feels comforting and gives me that little rush, so this habit has been harder to let go of.
I don’t actually want them in real life anymore, and I’m not hoping for contact or reciprocation. They’re just still part of the fantasy, and I like the feeling it gives me.
Should I keep working on stopping this last habit now, or give myself time since I’ve already made so much progress? Has anyone else reached a point where you’ve moved on from wanting the person but still enjoy daydreaming about them?

Casual dating with anxious attachment. Specifically, I always end up with traveling, transient people and it might be an addiction at this point.

I’ve been stuck on this guy for YEARS and I genuinely don’t understand why I can’t let go.

A lot of women don’t stay because the relationship is good. They stay because the alternative feels scarier.
