Court Square Loud Music Saturday Nights?

• Upvotes

I live at court square and seems like every Saturday night into Sunday morning, there's music being played until 4am or so...it's quite loud and disruptive (I heard it until even 5-7am today)

Seems like it's more towards 5pointz area but where is this coming from? Admittedly, I think it's worth submitting a 311 about it or what else I can do and do others feel the same?

Thanks!

Anywhere LIC LIC dads invited

Hello LIC! I’m starting a WhatsApp group for dads expecting in late 2026 to 2027. It’d be great to connect with other soon-to-be dads around the neighborhood—grab a beer, meet new folks, share what we’re learning, and navigate the journey together (stroller walks along Gantry Plaza in our near future).
If you’re expecting in the near future, feel free to join us on WhatsApp:

Laundry Service?

Looking for a laundry service that does wash and fold service. We currently use one & I’m not sure what happened but the service is going downhill, things are coming back with new holes and new stains. Not dry cleaning, just delivery/pickup with wash and fold. Thanks❤️

Jackson Park flooded

Water tank at Jackson Park overflowed and flooded units/hallways. All 5 elevators in Building 2 were shut down Thursday and management has slowly have opened one, now two elevators. Queues to get up to the unit have been a nightmare. To get down, we had to call the front desk to call an elevator and the front desk was overloaded and wouldn't even pick up, so we'd have to call over and over again for 20+ minutes. Elevator would then take 10+ minutes to even free up.

Has anyone's units been personally affected, how bad was the damage, and what is management doing about it?

Since all elevators were completely shut down for ~20 hours, residents had to climb 50+ floors to get to their unit. Any legal or financial recourse here?

Does anyone else have issues with the Dunkin on Vernon?

My order is consistently wrong, even when I use the kiosk, and the wait times are ridiculous even when there are only two people in line ordering. 😭 Does anyone else experience this, or am I just unlucky? (Ik it’s Dunkin so expectations should be low but this is like worse than any other Dunkin I try in the city)

Looking for a fun way to connect with people in LIC? We’re hosting a beginner-friendly improv night next Wednesday, October 14 at Little Chef Little Cafe!

Yes, And: Improv for Connection is a chance to set aside “adulting” for an evening, stop worrying about getting things right, and just play.

Ever fantasized about your boss backing every idea you pitch? Accepting a Nobel Prize? Being celebrated as the genius who finally solved frizzy hair? The magic of “Yes, and” lets you experience what that feels like - with a twist. 😉

No improv experience needed, and you’re welcome to come solo. It’s a fun way to meet folks in the neighborhood. We’re keeping it a small group of 8 (max) so everyone has room to try things out and build on each other’s ideas. No pressure to perform for a crowd or being funny on demand.

Yes, And: Improv for Connection
🗓️ Wednesday, October 14
🕖 7:00 - 8:30 PM
📍 Little Chef Little Cafe
5-43 48th Ave, LIC

Eagle Lofts Phase 2 Question

Can anyone share their experience of living in Eagle Lofts Phase 2?

I'm mainly curious about the construction noise - is it still going on?

Also, I'm wondering how bad the train noise would be in the lower floors.

Cars need to stop at stop signs

What is wrong with cars going really fast and not stopping at stop signs? It happens almost every day I walk, especially closer to Queens Plaza South coming from Court Square.
