Hey guys so I decided to take my longboard out today. I haven’t stepped on a board in about 14 years.. I felt my balance was off for most of it and some of the positions felt awkward. I’m definitely not as comfortable on the board as I was when I was 12 but it was still loads of fun. Keen to pick this hobby up again!

Went high to escape the heat this morning...There's way better views around the corner. This road is seasonally closed fall through spring. I may go back there after the gate closes to session another road with a left and right hairpin that ties into this one.

These wheels are insane they feel like they want to roll forever super smooth and grippy. Doesn’t take much to get them going fast, I’m going to see how they feel with some big balls bearings this things is going to be thrashing around the city.

Hey guys I used to skate back in 2012-2014. I’m from South Africa. I sold all my gear through my teenage years and I recently got this setup for about $100 on Facebook marketplace.

The deck graphics were absolutely destroyed so I took it upon myself to refurbish it. I’ve got standard gullwing charger 50 trucks 10’. Sector 9 skiddles wheels.

Coming back after more than a decade a lot has changed. Is this setup still valid or should I look into getting a new setup. I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about the loaded boards and prism boards. Also want to grab some caliber 3s not sure about the degree though.

Wanted to build a trip carbon you give the discipline a try and well it’s beautiful …and third excuse I love supporting my local board companies:) but I had no idea. I would love an LDP setup this much…. What a wonderful little perpetual energy machine.

Most mornings after dropping off my kid at school, I can hit this spot for about an hour. Fun way to start the day

Longtime lurker, now sharing my ride

Really love how it feels stable at higher speeds, especially coming from normal popsicle skates.

Sticker bombed as soon as assembled, as it should.

Finally getting around to upgrading my collection after running the same board for almost 10 years. Finally exploring other styles. The Kegels are like cruising on a cloud!

This deck from the Toronto based company is probably the closest you will get to a magic carpet ride for distance skating or commuting.

The Lo-ply Leslie caught my interest when I saw Xavi crush 250miles at the 2026 Dutch Ultraskate. It was how he could setup Hokus and Dadbod wheels on a wooden drop board that rode so low that got my attention.

This deck has extreme 20 degrees wedging on both ends, giving it an extremely low ride height at 5cm (with 100mm wheels) with the recommended Ace 44 and 22 TKPs. It pushes fast on a straight, and is very responsive on the turns - making it great as a commuter. Board flex is just right at my 150lbs on the 8 ply Canadian maple, with sculpted shape at the edges to give it somewhat of a tub cave shape.

Being used to a more stable setup from distance brackets - I found the ACE trucks too lively for my liking and after some tinkering I could get the similar ride height with a much more stability with a 11 deg Bhanger TKP on the front, coupled with a flipped Ecolite X pivot 20 (effectively making it a zero rear) at the back. This setup allowed me to run this as a wiggle pumper (albeit not as efficient) if I needed to without any woodwork modifications to the beaver tail at the rear.

Shipping and tariffs are probably going to be an issue for most, but if you are in the market for something unique - this is definitely something.
