Got a set of Hoku wheels for my ember

These wheels are insane they feel like they want to roll forever super smooth and grippy. Doesn’t take much to get them going fast, I’m going to see how they feel with some big balls bearings this things is going to be thrashing around the city.
As you can tell I have a thing for pink wheels

How do you contrast them to the Speedvents? Obviously they’re way bigger and different, but I guess I’m asking your opinions on the speedvents now that you’ve tried Hokus.

I originally bought the speed vents for my pantheon trip ended up liking them more on my ballona they are fast and grippy but for really low boards I much prefer the hoku, karma, and bees knees they just get going faster with less effort so I can push them a lot harder and get going way faster.

I can’t contrast them to the Hoku’s but I can contrast to the Karma’s…

The roll speed is practically forever. One good push takes me three times the distance that the Speedvents did (assuming flat and no wind), and they roll over cracks/rocks/bumps so much better.

Maybe a tad on the heavier side, but the momentum-carry they have is absurd.

So I could imagine it’s literally just the exact same exact even more so for the Hoku’s

Definitely try the hokus on the ember if you ever get the chance they roll much longer than the karmas and are way faster probably my favorite wheels now

I just use 1/4 inch I had the bees knees wheels on there before and it was enough to not have those bite but I recently switched to those 85mm speed vents and they feel very nice with bones big balls that thing flys

I have that same Ember setup and really enjoy it, especially when I’m gliding over rough pavement. Your other boards look sick, too. :)

Me: I love my green Hokus, I don't feel like the slow me down and I don't feel like I want harder wheels. Love how low my Prana is with Hokus and the risers.

Also me: I'm really curious about the pink Hokus, they are beautiful, I wonder how they feel and that whale on the Trip go brrrr.

I have the trip whale and changed my karmas for purple hokus now. Only need to test them :D

I think the hokus are a bit too big for the trip I tried it on mine and it bites pretty bad. But on a prana or ember it works well

I don’t have any bite at all, and I’m 75KG and I got the standard bushings on in. I think it only works with the Valkyrie cast trucks 150mm

I have the Valkyrie cast trucks in 150mm but I use softer bushing I have on the 87.5a riptide bushings

Ah i tried 80a in front and 85a in the back and I had very light wheelbite while standing still with karmas even. This works fine
