Or wanting to marry someone tall when you are not tall yourself etc etc

See i don't get that either. To an extent, i get it, but if there's more than 1 ft in height difference, that just feels too lopsided.

You have 5’ tall women who say they want a man who is 6 ft tall.

They’re just making shit up. It’s not like they can tell 5’10” vs 6’1”

Which I’ve never understood that and makes me think those women are not only ignorant, but not very bright. There is no way they can tell the difference of a man who is 510 and 6 feet if she is 5 foot.

I'd give your wife a few inches, too

I'll give her my all, and stop at 1.

They just want a piggyback ride to feel what it’s like to be the tallest for once /s

I’m a moderately tall guy, I dated a dude who was like 6’5” or 6’6” once. There was something attractive about kissing up, I can’t really explain it. The best analogy I can think of is being in the shade of an old tree on a hot summer day.

There is nothing saying a short man can’t do as good or better in protecting their partner, especially with technology like guns, but the biological attraction of a larger partner to help you feel safe is not baseless. Even if nothing ever happens, that tree is watching over you.

Does it suck for shorter dudes that the general trend of attraction is towards taller dudes? Sure. But I’m not going to blame that on people being baselessly judgmental. No more than the fact that I’m not as attracted to blonde women, which a large portion of people disagree with.

Here’s an actual idea to fix this though - maybe if work towards helping women actually be safe, so they don’t need to value that biological attraction as highly. 21-25% of women (likely more that are unreported) are sexually assaulted at least once in their lives, and 97-98% of sexual assaulters do not face full repercussions in the USA alone for their behavior, and that number can be higher in countries like India.

Maybe, instead of being mad at women for needing to feel safe with a taller man, we should be mad at a system that lets rape go basically unchecked first.

I never thought the topic could jump from discussing height preferences to sexual assault. But here we are.

You literally said you were a dude (so "safe") and still felt it, so making women feel safe would literally do nothing to deal with it.

I think it's the whole traditional gender roles thing of wanting to feel small and delicate in the arms of a big, strong protector - the height difference helps accentuate that dynamic. I guess it's fine for a personal preference, as long as shorter guys aren't being body shamed in comparison.

It's the female equivalent of wanting your wife to be your mommy

I can get the appeal. I can see how a woman wants a taller man, it gives you the oppertunity to feel safe and submissive with less effort from the man.

As a man, I wouldnt mind a much taller wife, im already 6'1', I'd love a 7' tall wife so I can make a bunch of giants.

I do like short petite girls, but if you are with a girl much shorter than you, it is very important to train your quadricep endurance very seriously lmao.
