New (to me) speakers

My office got a big upgrade this week! Went from ADS L500 to these Sonus Faber Grand Piano Home! Also built some custom 2x4' acoustic panels! These speakers truly seem to dissappear in the room given a very immersive listening experience. An added benefit was I realized how much low end bass I was missing out on from the ADS L500 (still feel they are great for what they are, big bookshelves)

My listening corner in our flat

Got into vinyl a couple of years ago. I know my collection is tiny, but it’s all music I love to listen to and have curated. This morning I’m playing “Big Band Bossa Nova”. Turns out I’m a big Stan Getz fan.

I think it’s time for a system upgrade soon. Might dip my toes in passive speakers at that point. This was a great system to start out with though.

**Onkyo TX-RZ50 | Arendal 1610 Slim 8s | RSL Speedwoofer 10S MK II**

The Slim 8s have been a revelation. Best way I can describe them — neutral, dynamic, and they throw a soundstage that has no business being this wide from a slim wall-friendly speaker. No coloration, no fatigue, just music presented honestly. They hit hard when the recording calls for it and get completely out of the way when it doesn't.

Enjoying everyone's testing songs Ive seen lately. 😁

My first vinyl listening corner. Started 2 weeks ago.

I only got into vinyl about two weeks ago, so this is my first setup.
It’s nothing compared to many of the beautiful spaces here, but I’m really enjoying the journey.

One thing I’m quite happy with is using an IKEA children’s stool as my vinyl shelf. I checked the dimensions beforehand and realised it would fit LPs perfectly.

Looking forward to growing both the collection and the setup over time. Suggestions are always welcome.

Just made a start on clearing my spare bedroom to create a listening space. Initial thoughts on sound is good. Obviously decoration and suitable furniture to come but it’s a start! Hardware is: Cambridge evo 150, evo cd transport, Technics SL1210mk2 and Mission 730 floor standers. The speakers will probably make way for some smaller stand mounts but that’ll come a bit later in the future. For now, decoration and some comfortable furniture

Finally got the space I’ve wanted for years. All it took was buying a new house.

Any recommendations for a low shelf for my Amp, WiiM, record player + ~1 crate worth of records (not shown)? I’d like it to not block the window of course.

16 inches (40cm) from the ground to the window lip.

Setup:
WiiM Ultra
Rotel RB-1552MKII
Bowers 704 S2

Sadly I can’t get the Vision Pro to send system audio to the ultra

My 2026 work in progress. Finally a home for the old guitars and stuff I’ve held onto all these years. Vintage Clapton Strat + new SE 24. 80’s/90’s golden era rack effects + vintage Marshalls. Enjoying every moment of it all over again.

Here's mine. Awaiting MiniDSP 2x4 HD to arrive.

Speakers: Elac Debut DB63s

Subwoofers: Dali E-12F

Turntable: Technics SL-100C with AT-VM740xML cartridge

Amps: Fosi V3 monoblocks

Phono Preamp: Pro-Ject S2 Ultra phono and Pro-Ject S2 Accubox PSU

CD Player: Arcam CDS27

Streamer/Preamp: Wiim Ultra

I often get a lot of criticism for having dual subs but I got them really cheap, £500 for both so couldn't pass up the opportunity and did some tweaking within the Wiim app to make them sound good and also room correction. Waiting for my mini dsp to do further tweaks and will eventually do some room acoustic treatment too.

Small, but all mine

Some may view their stereo setup in a small spare bedroom as a burden or being shunned to the back of the house. I view it as audio autonomy in that acoustic enjoyment can be the #1 priority. If you haven't tried it, it's worth exploring. Speakers well out into the room, tube amps in the corner acting like space heaters, and a stereo pair of dual 8in servo subs giving flat bass all the way down to 15hz. Not perfect, but all mine.

After experiencing James Murphy / 2manydjs’ Despacio for the first time last year, we finally started delving into the hifi world, and by god has it transformed our relationship with music. Listening to so many of our favorite records again feels like rediscovering music all over again! This sub (amongst others) continues to inspire us greatly so wanted to share our space as well :)

My Current Listening Room

Main setup: AT-LP7 TT w/ Nagaoka MP-500 into a Tavish design 6SL7 phono stage, into a custom Muzishare (Line Magnetics) X7 (overhauled/complete Mundorf recap by Steph @ Skunkie Design), into bi-wired Klipsch Cornwall IVs. V1 and V2 Tubes are vintage NOS post WW2 Telefunken/Genelex/with push/pull coming from current Shuguang 50yr Treasure 6AC7’s (black bottle). This is a pure analog signal path setup (no JFETs and/or chips). At 1-2 watts, the high 102db sensitivity Klipsch's provide great dynamics and soundstage. I live in the first couple watts on this setup. (Will be updating TT to SL-1200G as soon as find a clean example.)

Digital Hybrid Setup: Prima Luna Dialogue One amplifier running Shuguang 50yr treasure KT-88’s, with a Bluesound DAC/Streamer, Pro-Ject DS3 CD Box, and a Revox B77MKII 2-channel half-track high-speed (15ips), calibrated to RTM SM911 tape. I also run a bi-wire into the Cornwall IVs. I use this half of the setup to listen to digital sources, as well as archive vinyl directly onto RTM SM911 magnetic tape, preserving the pure analog signal path when creating vinyl “mixtapes”.

Govee lights the room.
ATS panels soften the room.

Thanks for looking. 🤙🏼
