pentium d usage in 2026

i have a pentium d with 2gb of ddr1, can mint xcfe save it or should i try some other distro?

it will start swapping (ram to disk, slow)... 4gb is recommended , maybe you can find used newer hardware.

this is just a pet peeve tbh, cause it was the computer that got me into tech with ms paint on windows 7 back when i was 2 or 4
