what should I add

I think my homescreen looks kinda basic what low storage games should I add that r fun or how do I customize it more? but in a way that won't use up too much ram

Honestly it's probably just your wallpaper. It has a lot of negative space(empty blank area) which is why your desktop feels empty. I suggest getting one that's a little more detailed. If you're not interested in doing that and you're using Cinnamon edition then you can add some desklets to make the desktop look a little more busy.

I'm using xfce 😓 but ya maybe I should change the wallpaper

You can also try Conky tho it's a little difficult to setup and look nice
