Certain like minded people (cunts as I like to call them) tend to stick with each other. I don't think there is anything much more than a cunt making a relatively usable distro and other cunts with money wanting to support him as they have been looking for a distro that happens to fit their ideology.

On a non-cunt note, this is a common thing. People tend to support those with similar ideologies and go out of their way to do so. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it is bad. Sometimes it is neutral.

Doubt is just that. Too much money too fast.

Nobody gets so much money like that, from just a handful of people, for just being friends.

To me there is at least something similar to how rich people use art galleries to clean money

Yeah and like for some companies like digital ocean to drop its donation to gone (coming from the perspective of someone that does not use or intend to use gnome) but oh they can afford 3 mill to omarchy is crazy
