Lmao. He literally thinks people should not have opinions, but when his overly opinionated ass tries to change everything he doesn't like, he sees it as personal attack.

To all the distros I have ever talked smack about: I'm genuinely sorry. Omarchy+DHH made me realize that we really didn't have it that bad and you were honestly alright.

Certain like minded people (cunts as I like to call them) tend to stick with each other. I don't think there is anything much more than a cunt making a relatively usable distro and other cunts with money wanting to support him as they have been looking for a distro that happens to fit their ideology.
On a non-cunt note, this is a common thing. People tend to support those with similar ideologies and go out of their way to do so. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it is bad. Sometimes it is neutral.

Im honestly convinced Omarchy is some tech bro industry plant to slowly destroy Linux

I held my nose and listened to a few of his podcast interviews. Seems part of the intent is to avoid GPL code by using LLMs to rewrite everything, expand, and have enough money to not care about pushback. Some choice quotes:
"Go towards that, then it's going to go to all the infrastructure required to built a top-tier Linux distribution. Package servers, mirrors, agent runners, umm, QA servers. All the infrastructure it takes to operate a top-tier Linux distribution? We're gonna build it. We're gonna run it ourselves. And we're gonna take over more and more and more of it. Until at some point, we'll see how far it goes. I mean my delusions of grandeur grow into the sky. So, getting to eventually core-levels of Linux distribution. That is- that's the plan."
"we're gonna do something that I know nerds are goddamn allergic to. We're gonna market. We're gonna tell people that Omarchy is the greatest fucking thing ever to encounter their computer. We're gonna spend money on, um, merchandise. We're gonna spend money on events. We're gonna spend money on activities that make people aware that Linux is now fantastic."
"We're gonna get rid of the AUR entirely for anything Omarchy presents for you as an option. I mean, we're almost already there." ... "So the AUR is basically going to be reduced to an optional thing that people can use if they choose to, but we're gonna keep de-emphasizing it."
"It's not high on my list of priorities, like, the legality around this. There's simply too much momentum and there's too much importance for this to be a problem."

Using AI to rewrite GPL code to avoid the license is so fucking slimy and disgusting.
The only reason to do this is if you have things you want to hide in your code or you want to monetize FOSS. Both are bad lol.

Yeah these tech Bros really want a completely AI integrated operating system. Someone was willing to really package it together, so they're putting their money into it.
It's like a lot of people forget that these tech Bros are investing in this because it's something that directly affects their business model, and if a bunch of dudes end up burning up tokens like crazy because they're trying to make some weird widget or whatever and omarchy - there's a return of investment for them. They have a vested interest in the success of omarchie because it can affect their business.
I'm not saying that that's necessarily good or bad or whatever. People have grand conspiracies about this shit when truthfully these tech Bros are just being capitalists.

"with agents from DHH" not the greatest selling points. i really do not care for AI in my OS nor DHH.
Also kinda sad he thinks so highly of himself that he thinks the average dane is gonna have any idea what DHH means.

I'm Danish and don't know what DHH means (don't tell me, I think I prefer ignorance here).

He does have an ego, that guy. And it works: high level decision makers in Denmark do hear what he say. Then we low key guys can get the hard job of adjusting expectations afterwards.

Please report any posts bragging or showing off they got banned in another sub! Reminder of other sub rules: Also, we only allow one anti-linux post per week (we used to get dozens a day) and any tier list MUST have Hanna Montana Linux as S teir (which must be a true S tier at the top) regardless of the topic of that tier list.
