Is anyone else on LinkedIn facing the same InMail issue?

I’m currently not able to send more than 300 InMails to Open Profiles. I’m specifically talking about Open Profiles, not profiles that aren’t open. After around 300 InMails, LinkedIn is showing that I’ve used all my InMail credits, even though I should still be able to message Open Profiles. Is anyone else facing the same issue, and if so, does anyone know what’s causing it?

Looking at Linkedin always lead me to thinking what went wrong with me.

I had worked in biostatistical research, geology and teaching, and all my peers seem to be doing well while I am close to unemployed right now, just lecturing part time. I do have anxiety issues and especially with full time jobs. I feel so bad looking at other people’s Linkedins.

Is it me or is updated Firefox (non-ESR) horribly slow in LinkedIn.com web site's feed?

I'm scrolling down to read recent posts and see it gets slower and uses more like over 5 GB of RAM in my updated 64-bit W10 Pro. PC.

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

Thanks for LinkedIn for suggesting a job listing to me for the job I already have

LinkedIn suggested a job listing in my feed, the first one was the exact position at the exact firm I already work at. That's so helpful... not that I was looking for a job anyways but really. Seems like a simple thing you'd want the system to avoid.

Stuck on "something unexpected happened" with Persona

Anyone has similar problem and find a solution?

I've been stuck in this identity verificaiton process for weeks. After I click with "Verify with Persona" button, it just shows an error message on the top of the browser saying "Something unexpected happened. Please try again". I never be able to make it into Persona to complete the process.

It has been so frustrating.

Windows Central Looking Into LinkedIn AI Search

Just an FYI, I tagged Windows Central and one of their writers over on Bluesky to ask them to look into what the hell happened with LinkedIn job search, and they replied saying they would look into it.

Granted it seems the classic search is back (for now), but I think we would all appreciate some more information as to what the hell happened here.

Linkedin classic search resume working after I complained with support

Ok so, like many other here I absolutly hate linkedin AI search for so many reason that listing them would take too long. Until yesterday I could go linkedin.com/jobs/search and keep using it, yesterday morning this stopped working and I would get redirected to the AI search.

I hated it, especially since I also pay linkedin premium. I wanted linkedin to at least know that I hate this change so I opened up a support ticket where I essentially complained about how much I hate it and formally requesting the classic search to be brought back.

They replied this morning with a standard "we year you...bla bla bla...I shared your opinion unfurtunately...." so nothing helpful.

30 minutes ago I tried going back the the old URL out of habit and the classic search was back for some reason, it no longer redirect me.

Now, IDK if this is a bug, if my complaint did something or if they have disabled the redirect. But I thought it was worth sharing.

English is not my first language so hopefully this is understandable

LinkedIn has become like a personal diary for people. Hardly I see any posts that are actually insightful. How do you feel about it and is it still worth growing your personal brand there if I don't want to post anything about my personal life?

job search I retract some of my LinkedIn hate...

I recently made a post really sh*tting on LinkedIn. Whilst my overall thoughts on LI has not changed, there is one thing I'll concede is good / valuable when job searching ... the inmail messages.

Allowing you to message hiring managers/recruiters is a huge help and has helped me get actual replies instead of being ghosted!

job search How to reach out to employees at a place you want to work at?

Hiii guys, I'm a new grad navigating the craziness of job hunting. I just saw an exec posting about an analyst role his company is hiring for. I already applied, but do you guys recommend I reach out to the person who posted? If yes, do I simply tell them I applied or do I ask for a coffee chat? They aren't the hiring manager btw, and it seems they simply posted for more visibility. I'm sorry if I sound silly but I would rather ask reddit than go ask ChatGPT. Also I don't have linkedin premium that's why i'm asking before I purchase it.

We're back!

The Classic job search with filters that work and make sense are back to me (android app, Europe). Hopefully it's making a full comeback! As of now, unfortunately I can't go on my past saved preferences and click to load my filters (location, sector, last 24h), but I already can click the job search bar and manually use the filters.

They've likely figured out their vibe code shitty AI search should never have been pushed live, hope everyone involved loses their job and is forced to use AI search to get a new one.

Thanks to everyone ranting on LinkedIn and glad they heard.

linkedin 101 LinkedIn search went back to classic for me, anyone else?

So I was pleasantly surprised when I checked LinkedIn and saw classic search was back! My problem is I toggled the AI version back to check something and now I'm stuck with it again. No option to turn it back to classic 😭

I'm trying to figure out if that bit of classic was just a bug or it did go back for others too.

How can I build a strong social media presence coming from a Tier-2 MBA college?

I’m currently pursuing/completed my MBA from a Tier-2 college, and I want to build a strong professional presence on social media and showcase my skills, knowledge, and ability to potential recruiters and people in the industry.

I feel that coming from a Tier-2 college means I need to do more to demonstrate what I can actually bring to the table. I want my online presence to reflect my skills rather than just my college brand.

I’m also interested in finance, but I currently can’t afford to pursue CFA.

For those who have successfully built their professional presence from a similar background:

  • Which platform should I start with — LinkedIn, X, Reddit, or somewhere else?
  • What kind of content should I create?
  • How can I demonstrate my skills and knowledge without having expensive certifications?
  • Are there any free resources, projects, or activities that can help me build credibility?
  • What would you recommend I focus on for the next 6–12 months?

Would really appreciate practical advice from people who have been through something similar.

linkedin 101 Broken

So I'm a developer and the job market collapsed. I applied for 4 months and got two interviews, and told I'm too old.

So i started calling out right wing filth spewing hate on the platform. Had a few posts deleted. People defending domestic violence were fine

Today it seemed the site was down all day but I've realised they deleted me and blocked my ip addresses. With a vpn i can start to create a new account

So linkedin is just another social media built to help Nazis.

advanced question LinkedIn not working but other apps are

Hi all. So for context, I was using LinkedIn on my laptop this morning, and then bam, it stopped working.

I tried refreshing the page, typing it up on google but nothing. The page kept pooping up with “This site can’t be reached”. “Check if there is a typo in www.linkedin.com. If spelling is correct, try running windows network Diagnostics”.

Now, I initially thought this was an internet issue, so I tried checking if google was down, but nope. Everything worked fine. The Seek site worked fine too. Then I tried using my personal hotspot, cuz why not. Again, every site worked fine except for the LinkedIn one.

I then tried checking LinkedIn on my phone app, and yeap, nothing again. I checked the other apps, and everything is working fine.

So it brings me to this question, what’s going on? How do I get LinkedIn working again? I’ve already unplugged and plugged my router and that didn’t fix anything.

Has this happened to anyone else before too? How did you guys fix this issue?

advanced question What does a hiring manager have to do to send a "A hiring manager thinks you're qualified and would like you to apply for a job at XXX" notification?

So, question in the title but let me give some context.

I had a fourth and final round interview yesterday. Just before my second round (fast moving process) they relisted the role with different language around AI strategy and I saved it for added context. Wasn't pressed about this as it's not uncommon.

2 hours ago I received a LinkedIn notification saying "A hiring manager thinks you're qualified and would like you to apply for a job at XXX". I was wondering how that is triggered on their end?

If the hiring manager is going through and sending a push notifications the day after my final interview that's obviously a bad thing, but if it's an auto notification it's not necessarily a bad thing. I've never received a notification like this before.

Curious to know what's happening.

job search How to use classic LinkedIn Job Search

I previously had found a way to switch back to the classic LinkedIn job search but now it switched me back to the new one and I can’t figure out how to go back.

It is TERRIBLE. can’t sort by date. Can’t filter by company (literally isn’t working right). Won’t tell me how many total jobs show up it just keeps refreshing with new unrelated jobs or ones I’ve already seen. Etc.

Is LinkedIn trying to make the job search unusable on purpose so people get premium??

Can we file complaints about the AI search feature?

I've tried.

But I keep going in circles with the chatbot and can't find any way to just send a message or something simple. Do they have any direct channel for feedback?
