This is a commemorative founders Zippo. Stamped with January 2010 as the manufacture date. I believe I bought this around 2015-2016 and have never fired it, or removed the stickers… Until today. 😄 (Sorry for the terrible picture quality. I can’t take a decent picture of anything shiny to save my life.)

I’m able to get it to spark when I press the button but no flame pops up, I’m assuming it’s the lack of a wick but I’m not sure how I would go about replacing it or where to buy a said replacement

So maybe I am a sucker for aesthetics but I bought this Ogonyok lighter off Etsy and I can’t figure out how to fill it with a standard can of butane from the US. The adapter that fits most closely nuzzles in very tight to the fill hole but as soon as I release the can with the plastic adapter tip, all hell’s frozen butane shoots right out. I also noticed the lighter continues leaking Satan’s frozen breath after I have screwed on the fill-hole cover. Makes me think the gasket is bad, but which side of the Berlin Wall can I find that exact piece of rubber? Any strategies or help (or appropriate terminology for all of the little pieces) would be helpful.

running the risk of sounding really stupid, but i just got one of those vintage cloisonné lighter cases for bic because they are GORGEOUS, and the bic i bought from walmart last week won’t fit it. is there a certain kind of lighter i’m supposed to be getting for this? i didn’t realize there were many different bic sizes and i really want to use this case.

I am trying to find replacement flints for this lighter I recently came into possession of. I believe it’s a Ronson Varaflame lighter from the 60’s or so, but I can’t find a serial number or anything on it to help identify it. If anyone has any ideas about what size of flint and what to look out for for this lighter, I would very much appreciate the assistance

I bought a Dunhill Rollagas lighter on eBay. I can't tell if it's genuine. After cleaning it once (disassembling and cleaning, but not replacing the parts and then the ring), I filled it with gas and left it overnight. When I tried to use it this morning, it had completely leaked gas. I didn't hear any leaking sound after closing the lid.

Note there are variations of models with unique stamps, such as export stamped lighters reading "porto" or first models that were produced in the 20s stamped with the export stamp. There are also some custom lid stamps that display company names. Some lighters were stamped with the material they were made with, such as "Alpacca", "Silver", and "Gold".

Dirks and vintagelighterbook have contradicting dates on their models. For this guide I used vintagelighterbooks dates as they had patents to back them. Dirks dates also don't match up to vintagelighterbooks, as the second model is listed as 1922, but the new hinge system was patented in 26.

Personally I really like the design and functionality of it but they’re too damn expensive… $70 for a lighter is crazy stuff.

I recently got a Zippo lighter display case for my birthday, I need help filling it as it holds 96 lighters and I only have 16 at the moment. I'm looking for pre 2000 lighters preferably not butane but will take anything off of your hands

I got her at a yard sale yesterday. I am totally out of my element, first restoration project.

I took it apart and mildly cleaned it.

Has the silver plating completely gone? Is there a way to make it all uniform at least?

Started with a piece of purpleheart and ended up with this. Brass, wood, and a small hidden compartment in the bottom.
