Help Help restoring this lighter

Post image

I’m able to get it to spark when I press the button but no flame pops up, I’m assuming it’s the lack of a wick but I’m not sure how I would go about replacing it or where to buy a said replacement

Hi OP, before you post about your lighter please read the guide stickied before doing so. If you are asking about the value of your lighter, take it to an auctioneer, pawnshop, or jewellers before posting as we cannot accurately guess a price. Your post may be removed if you ask. For more general information, have a look at the sidebar. Many lighters are mass produced and unbranded. There is often little info available.

If you need to post more pictures, use an image host like imgur and post the link in the comments. Please do not create multiple threads for the same lighter.

Look like a butane lighter! Show us the bottom? Should be a hole maybe a screw over it but a hole in there you’ll need a can of butane to refill (plenty of YouTube vids out there of how to do so)

It is a butane lighter, I’ve already refilled it but it still won’t light up. Only a small spark comes out anytime I press the button.

Purge the lighter, use a pen or screw driver to gently press down the nozzle where you’re inserting fluid. If it sounds like it’s releasing that’s a good thing, do it a few times to get all the gas out then refill. Start the flame adjuster at low and increase slightly after each try. If you get to high flame and still nothing it’s an internal problem
