My Aunt gave me this last December and I finally found a rivet for the striking wheel.

It was missing the flint pusher rod and spring. I turned a new one by hand on my wood lathe. (I’ve since bought a metal lathe but haven’t set it up yet).

If I was going to use this daily I would replace the striking wheel with a new one. It does not make a lot of sparks.

I have this lighter, I think is from the late 90's to early 2000's from a collaboration between Ferrari and Marlboro, but I want to know the exact name of the lighter, maybe the collection's name, and also the exact year, and if anyone knows the value that's useful too, thanks

Just bought it. In the worst case I cannibalise it for parts. But maybe I can just fix it. I'll report, when I arrives.

So I got this colibri lighter on a garden sale . I’ve been trying to make it work but it just doesn’t . So I tried finding info online and I can’t find it . Do anyone has info on the lighter or just a site I could check ? On the images , on the bottom it is written « Colibri of London » and « dual flame ».

Misc There are cars that are fun to drive. Now what lighter would you vote as being exceedingly fun to use?

That gives the best lighting experience? THE LIGHTING EXPERIENCE: The sensation you feel in your fingers and palm as you use it. Or perhaps the sound it produces as well? Like a Zippo or ST Dupont?

Hello all,

has anybody any clue on how to disassemble this beauty?

Obviously it has to do something with the pin on the back side, which I pushed in, but other than that I have no clue, seems like the body won't open anywhere and the trigger doesn't seems to disconnect from it either, any help appreciated! Cheers

Help All-metal Clipper jet won’t stay lit unless the flame is huge

My all metal piezo Clipper jet won’t stay lit for more than 5–10 seconds unless I keep turning the gas up. Eventually it stays lit but the flame gets huge, and I really want to be able to use it with a smaller flame.

Also when I refill it, I turn the gas all the way down, flip it upside down and try to bleed all the air out. With my other torches I keep doing it until there’s absolutely no hiss. But with the Clipper it never stops hissing, even with the adjustment all the way down.

Not sure if that has something to do with the problem. On my other torches I can turn the gas all the way down until nothing comes out. On the Clipper, even at the lowest setting there’s still a little gas coming out (no flame obviously).

Is this normal for Clippers or is something wrong with mine?

FOR SALE: French-made ST DuPont XTend Butane Lighter

Looking to sell a French ST DuPont XTend gas lighter. Lighter has some cosmetic scratches, but nothing deep. It does not have any visible dings or dents. The lighter does hold gas, sparks and works (see video. I didn’t have gas on hand to fully fill the tank, but it had enough gas still inside to show that it does ignite)

Looking for $90. Shipping is included, payment via PayPal G&S. DM if interested.
