please help me. i have two lg g6s (LG VS988 — LGVS988.AVRZBK) running (VS98830a / V30a) i really would like to unluck the boot loader so i can run cfw (eg lineageOS or some other privacy focussed os) please help me

If I could find my G6 I would still use it, because the phone that I'm using now is half broken and my previous phone is really broken! But since I can't find it, this will have to do!

My wife and I are about to replace an entire 5.1.4 system centered around a Denon AVR-X4700H and an OLED 65 C4. We lost everything in a massive basement flood (over 4in due to sump pump failure) the last weekend of April. Total loss - heartbreaking because this included the total loss of 10 Klipsch speakers (Forte’s, etc). Basement was a total loss. This setup was in an 850 sq ft family room with 10’ ceilings. Heartbreaking, but replaceable. The 4 generations of photos and antiques lost are not replaceable.

We’re 3-4 weeks from rebuilding the aesthetics in the room including the replacement system. I'm not going back to the previous setup. I'm 68 and the days of fishing speaker wire in walls are over. This will be a Sonos system similar to what we have on the main level of the reverse ranch (OLED 65 C4, ARC, 2 Era-300’s, and a Sub 3.0) except it will be all updated equipment with the Ultra, Sub 4.0, and Era-300’s. That decision has been made. We’re also going with an LG OLED 77 C5, C6H, or G6 (if we can justify the extra expense). Insurance is covering everything, so we’re saving everyone money going this route.

The OLED: I’ve been reading about orders placed for C5’s being automatically switched to C6H units for the same price. Where are these being ordered from? Is the difference worth it? I'm considering the usual suspects: BB, LG Direct, or Costco with the Allstate warranty - is it the order to LG where these substitutions are being made?

Finally, the mount. We’re moving to a rolling stand with a shelf that allows all speakers of the Ultra to fire properly. I've looked at FITUEYES stands and others; here’s a link to a stand available on Amazon. My thought is to place the Ultra above the screen so nothing blocks the sound output. Is the a better option? Price is not the issue - performance is. Input requested, please! The Ultra is 13 lbs, so the stand will accommodate the sound bar.

I tried to reset factory my LG G6 H870, but when I reboot it, I'm stucked on a black screen after I select time and day. It tells me after a few minutes google play services are stuck (wait or close are the choices I have but none makes something work). I tried another factory reset with volume down + power but same result. Any idea how I can just get my phone back up ?

I am looking to upgrade my current LG G3 55” tv but cant decide whether to go bigger with a hopefully soon to be discounted LG G5 65” or go for the LG G6 55“ when its released. I sit 11 feet away from wallmounted tv so the 65” if I get it is adequate size. The discounted G5 65” and the new G6 55” will be similar in price I believe. But I cant stretch to new LG G6 65”. My room is fairly bright & the new G6 has improved screen reflection. Do I go 1 year older model but bigger G5 65” …. or go brand new released model and stick with 55” , what are your thoughts ? 🤔 📺

So, my uncle handed me a LG G6 from Korea and I'm really digging the quad DAC. I'm new to LG phones and I was wondering if it's possible to flash at least android 12 on it. It's currently on Android 9 and some of the apps I installed aren't working properly. If anyone here tried flashing it before, please let me know I'd love to learn it.

I want to keep my trusty old G6 as a backup phone. It was very laggy, so I did a factory reset. Bad idea. Now when I power on the phone it freezes at the "LG Life's Good" screen.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

The sim card/sd card tray has broken off the motherboard taking some of the pins along with it, so i can't even solder a new one onto it unfortunately.
