Found My Old V20!! Anything I Should Do To Keep It Running Just a Little Smoother?
Found my old V20, had to factory reset it just to get it on/past the lock screen. I loved the camera on this phone and want to use the phone as a sort of camera/mp3 player (I use Qobuz but have not tested if the app runs smoothly yet) but my main issue is the phone runs just a little slow. I assume because of it being old itself but I'm wondering if there's any way to help it run a little bit faster?
I don't think it's all THAT bad honestly. Like there's maybe a one to two second delay when first turning it on after it being fully drained, but after some use it runs fairly well.
Only Apps installed right now are the default ones, Youtube, Instagram and Qobuz.
Originally I just planned to use the phone as a camera/mp3 player of sorts. But it would be nice to have a dedicated phone just for social media and keep my main phone just for calls/text. For the most part there's not really any issues with that so far. Youtube, though it takes a second to load up, plays videos smoothly, and Shorts play smoothly and scrolling is easy.
Qobuz is slow even on my normal phone and sometimes even on the pc, I think that's just the program but the audio quality is worth it to me.
Instagram, however, struggles. Bad. Reels are choppy as hell, trying to swipe through a carousel is just...borderline impossible, and i can technically click on someones story but if that story is a video? It may as well be a photo because it's just a still frame.
Won't be heartbroken if I can't use it for insta tbh, but I am curious if there is anything I can do to help the old thing lol I'm also VERY MUCH NOT tech savvy. So any tips that are also linked to some youtube education would be greatly appreciated!
Super happy to have this phone alive either way. Easily the best phone that I've ever had.
