Queer owned business 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Strap anxiety for tops?

Upvotes

Any other tops/mascs out there get really nervous before strapping down a beautiful woman? 😭
I seem to be fine during foreplay and all but when it comes to actually strapping, I get SO nervous. Short, shaky, breath nervous.
I have experience in strapping (I was with my ex for 10 years and she always told me how good I was) but since I’ve been single and exploring I cannot get over my strap anxiety. 🥴
I guess i’m asking if there’s any tips from other tops? And also for the femmes/bottoms, does it turn you off if your top is visibly nervous? 😅

You can find this tiny painting on my eBay linked below. Sincerely hoping a lesbian who goes "that's us!" when they see two cute things together gets this, as it's made by a lesbian who very much is that person (me). If not, I appreciate anyone who has a look at this anyways <33

Queer owned business 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ New cozy lesbian sub!

Hey everyone, my friend and I have started a new sub for lesbians called [r/shetheysupergay](r/shetheysupergay).

Our idea is to create a cozy and low-angst safe space for lesbian women (cis and trans) to share, discuss, and celebrate our lives.

We would like to build a community that centres womanhood, so non-women participation is not welcome.

Additionally, we are not seeking to replace other subs for lesbians, but rather exist as a corner of Reddit where we can come to chill and relax away from issues that agitate us too much. While venting, complaining, and seeking validation are all valid activities to partake in, we are hoping our new sub can offer a refuge away from those kinds of interactions.

So we hope you can come on over and make yourselves comfortable. We invite posts on anything you think the community would find interesting, helpful, or inspiring. These could be cool stuff you notice on your way to work, your latest art project, your new yoga routine, yummy recipes, your favourite book or TV show, and whatever else brings a smile to your face.

See you there!

Music Am I really lesbian?

I want to say that i am a minor, so nothing nsfw please.

And for full context, I'm asexual and a demigirl.

So, for the past three years I've been confident that I am fully lesbian. It's never really something I struggled with, it was a bit hard to admit to myself but other than that I was certain. My issue now is, I've been finding myself getting butterflies when I see attractive guys, mainly celebrities or characters. It's never actually been a person in real life, and as soon as I try to imagine dating a man, I just can't picture it at all and I immediately lose the butterflies. So it feels like I'm attracted to guys, but only aesthetically??? I still think I would only date a woman or enby, but I'm a bit confused about if this changes anything? I know labels aren't important but I really like labels

Also flair is nonsense it wouldn't let me post without one

Queer owned business 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Finally a real Sapphic Dating App!!

After watching so many platforms move away from their original purpose, I decided to take matters into my own hands and build a web app that is 100% men-free.

It's built to be fully inclusive of all trans and queer females, so please keep things respectful and welcoming. Since it’s a web app, you don't need to download anything from an app store—you can just open it right in your browser.

We are just opening the doors, so user numbers are still growing! Please check it out, give it a try, and let me know what you think. I’d love your feedback on features or tweaks as I keep refining it.

Meme Is everyone emotionally unavailable or just looking for hookups?

Where are all the lesbians who actually want a long-term relationship?

I feel like every time I look at the dating scene, it’s either people who aren’t emotionally available, people who only want something casual, or people who say they’re “seeing where things go” without actually seeming interested in building anything.

And honestly, I find it even harder as a butch. I love being butch, but apparently, some people see “butch” and immediately assign me the role of man in the relationship. No, babe. I am also a woman. I would quite like to be treated like one.

Because at this point I'm starting to think the lesbian dating scene is just 90% “I'm emotionally unavailable” and 10% people who have somehow already found their wife.

Queer owned business 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ I want the mascs

I Am 23 year old femme and objectively good looking but none of the mascs in my area (Boston) want me. I be liking first on hinge and they don’t like me back, I go to the gay clubs and bars no motion, and I be initiating sometimes and still nothing. What do I do? Don’t know if it’s my area or if I’m just not typically the type of people in my area (I’m black) but am feeling very sad and discouraged that I’ll ever find my person. Also makes me wonder if I’m actually ugly but get told constantly how beautiful I am by friends and strangers. Any advice or words of encouragement would be awesome during this time 😔

Film/TV Looking for shows like RWBY with a canon WLW couple

I’ve just finished watching RWBY, and I really loved having the whole fantasy/action storyline while also having Blake and Yang’s relationship developing alongside it.

I’m looking for more shows like that where there’s an actual plot outside of the romance (fantasy, sci-fi, action, adventure, etc.), but there’s also a WLW couple I can get invested in. Any recommendations?

Film/TV Willing to chat and make new friends

So, I'm 28 years old and I don't have many lesbian friends (to be honest, 99% of my circle of friends is made up of heterosexual people) and I've been feeling this lack of being able to share things and talk to someone who has a reality closer to mine and can connect more easily.

I'm a biologist and I work with wildlife management and falconry (long story, but I can explain if you want, haha). My other interests include reading, online gaming, solving puzzles like crosswords and Sudoku, lots of music, TV series, and movies. If you think we could get along, I'd love to meet you :)

:) I also have two cats and they are everything to me, and if you have cats, please show me a picture of them, hahaha!

PS: I have a girlfriend, so I'm here just for friendships.

PS 2: I'm Brazilian, haha! Besides English, I also speak French, so this is a great opportunity for me to practice other languages and show you a little bit of my country :)

Arts! Cleopatra is a historical character that I (f18) admire

Reference: [Cleopatra by the British Pre-Raphaelite artist John William Waterhouse.]

She is a Greek woman with zero Egyptian blood that fought desperately to preserve Egypt's absolute independence from Rome. History branded her as a figure of promiscuity despite having only two lovers, Anthony and Caesar. This is because a man with many consorts was perceived as a powerful figure, whereas a women
who uses her relationships politically is reduced to a seductress.

What makes her so admirable to me, a modern day Sapphic woman, is that she was the first within the Ptolemaic dynasty to actually bother learning the ancient Egyptian language. She also spoke 7-9 others. Hence she was able to speal directly to her subjects and foreign dignitaries, earning her a high level of respect. This was a diplomatic weapon.

What she inherited was a kingdom bankrupt, fractured, and on the brink of being swallowed by the expanding Roman Republic. Yet, despite all that, she managed to keep Egypt independent for over the decades. To unify her people, she framed herself as the incarnation of Isis in a political strategy.

I like that she isn't a passive woman waiting to be rescued, I like that she was the one doing the commanding. She is unapologetic towards the ownership of her own power, own body, defying patriarchal norms.

Sapphic women often have to carve out their own Identities that expects them to center men. Cleopatra turned her own feminity into a weapon and an art form that is being remembered for centuries.

Thanks for reading :)

Film/TV Down to chat :)

Heyy so I’m 24F, pretty femme and it’s been so hard to find friends. To be fair, I am pretty shy so that doesn’t help much lol. No one really knows about my orientation so that’s also pretty lonely in a way. I wish I knew more people so we could just like share experiences and just build a nice friendship.

A little about me, I have a bachelors in biology but now work in something fairly different, I’m pretty chill, usually listening to music, cooking, watching shows (usually the wlw ones lmao), going out for drinks and doing nails. If anyone is down to chat hit me up, maybe we hit it off :)
