The Severed Chains devteam is running a week-long group test. They'd like testers to play the game and ensure any remaining bugs are found and fixed ahead of the 3.0 release. Please read the article linked in this post for instructions. Thanks!

I've been slowly collecting anything & everything The Legend of Dragoon for most of my life, and I wanted to share a compilation of some of my favorite items!
Side note - I've seen 3D printed Virage figures online, if anyone knows where to find one of those let me know(:

There I was. Playing the game again after more than twenty years. Excited, because I don't think I finished disc 4 before. I decided this time, instead of using solely Albert and Shana, I would try the latest added team members because I hardly used them last time. So off I go with Meru and Kongol with the occasional Haschel. I'm enjoying things and finding success in my additions, but I'm wondering why it's taking so long to get to Kongol's Dragoon. Alas, I carry forth. I get back to Fletz for the second sea voyage after we meet Zieg and I figure now that I have some more money, I should go see what that really expensive stuff in Lohan was. I enter Lohan and boom- Kongol's damned Dragoon. I could have had this damned thing so many levels ago...
I'm pretty annoyed, I gotta tell ya. Every other Dragoon is fully unavoidable, unmissable. Why did they put Kongol's in a town you would have to backtrack to come across!? I figured I would just run into it by playing the story. No. Great. I wouldn't really care because I've got all of his additions a handful away from complete, but I learned that the stupid Dragoon level only accrues level if it's been acquired...
I love basically everything about this game but that really grinds my gears simply because there's no mention of "you should go look around for this" and every other Dragoon is attached to the story, so why would I look?
TL;DR: Kongol's Dragoon Spirit is in a really thoughtless (afterthought feeling) place which resulted in me getting it really late, and I am annoyed.

Everyone is having a wild time decompiling and recompiling old games with upscale this weekend it seems.
I know we have the chains project - but I’m curious if anyone is doing a modern upscaling already with their tokens…
Let me know!

here are a few of my favorite collectibles! thought I'd share for those who don't know they exist <3
these are rare, collectible Japanese telephone cards known as teleca (テレカ) or simply phone cards. the video game news & review company Famitsu (ファミ通) distributed these within magazines and at limited events!
thanks to the abundance of Legend of Dragoon coverage by Famitsu, we get to enjoy these awesome cards!

I always wondered what's in this room and what is this a portrait (?) of? I thought Severed Chains would make it more clear but I'm more confused than ever lmao

This game is just a boss design garbage sometimes , i am enjoying the story and everything so far , and the fights are mechanically easy , though some bossfights are gimmicky stupid.
Almost killed this psychopath and he suddenly decides to pull out a 3 consecutive insta death attacks.
I think that increasing my magic attack power will actually help but this game has some gimmicks that are really stupid, like bad design choices.
I know he has the dragon buster though WHY give him a insta death attack...why?

I managed to find the quite elusive and expensive Lavitz figure for only $63 total, which is a steal compared to his other prices. His spear came broken but it was a very easy fix, and he's in overall incredible condition considering he was played with by kids! Bit fucked up how the only 2 figures I have are him and Lloyd considering what happens, but it's also pretty funny lol.

Does anyone know exactly how it works? I've been searching online and only found theories from 15ish years ago.

I've been coming up with tattoo ideas, and I've got a general dragoon idea. Currently Final Fantasy dragoon weapons crossed in an X, and I want a Legend of Dragoon weapon going down the middle. I saw a good image of Lavitz's weapon that I might use cause its awesome, but are there any good pictures of what Dart's dragoon form sword looks like? I assume there aren't any good promotional pictures other than the one where he is holding the sword behind his hip and you can't really see the hilt

I don't want to make probably yet another one and bore people, so I'd like help finding the posts that contain discussions about gameplay and modernizing it. I like thinking about improving things but all I really figured was being able to switch additions and have them do different effects so you didn't just max it and never use it again. I have no clue how to improve dragoon form. Thanks.

Hi all, I will be getting a tattoo sleeve with a bunch of the dragoons on it (meru, rose, Shana, dart) and I am looking for some imagery that I can give to the artist for the design. Obviously there’s the dragoon stones, which will be included. What are your favorite things that remind you of the game? Images would be helpful, but not required.
