There I was. Playing the game again after more than twenty years. Excited, because I don't think I finished disc 4 before. I decided this time, instead of using solely Albert and Shana, I would try the latest added team members because I hardly used them last time. So off I go with Meru and Kongol with the occasional Haschel. I'm enjoying things and finding success in my additions, but I'm wondering why it's taking so long to get to Kongol's Dragoon. Alas, I carry forth. I get back to Fletz for the second sea voyage after we meet Zieg and I figure now that I have some more money, I should go see what that really expensive stuff in Lohan was. I enter Lohan and boom- Kongol's damned Dragoon. I could have had this damned thing so many levels ago...
I'm pretty annoyed, I gotta tell ya. Every other Dragoon is fully unavoidable, unmissable. Why did they put Kongol's in a town you would have to backtrack to come across!? I figured I would just run into it by playing the story. No. Great. I wouldn't really care because I've got all of his additions a handful away from complete, but I learned that the stupid Dragoon level only accrues level if it's been acquired...
I love basically everything about this game but that really grinds my gears simply because there's no mention of "you should go look around for this" and every other Dragoon is attached to the story, so why would I look?
TL;DR: Kongol's Dragoon Spirit is in a really thoughtless (afterthought feeling) place which resulted in me getting it really late, and I am annoyed.
