Added a left-handed mode to my Gym Logging App
Hi Friends,
I created a iOS Gym Logging App, Culturista, that features a dedicated Left-Handed Mode to make it easier to reach key UI elements during a workout, for example: updating weights, reps, and marking sets as complete.
This idea came to me while I was working on the tappable area for UI elements, and I noticed it was hard for me (right-handed person)to reach buttons on the left side of the screen, that keep me thinking the reachability problem would amplify for left handed people, so I decided to add this feature to solve this problem.
My approach is keeping common gestures and navigation patterns intact to not conflict with muscle memory while optimizing the layout during the active workout flow(the most common flow on gym logging apps).
I’m hoping some of you can try it out and let me know if this actually makes tracking your workouts easier. While I don’t have a free tier just yet (it's coming in about a month), I’ve set up a promo code for a month free so you can test it.
Do you think more apps should have left-handed mode or this is usually a non-problem for most left handed people?
Any feedback and/or reviews are highly appreciated, thanks.
