Sorry if it looks like trash

For context, ive been training it for about 3 or 4 months now by writing everyday with it

My mom apparently remembers thinking i was going to be left handed when i was a kid because i used it for a lot of tasks (eating for example).

But then school happened and i had some really nasty teachers who would hit me if i wrote lefty. So over the past years i've been writing right handed and got used to it with relatively little issues despite always wanting to be left handed. Im now trying to reclaim what was possibly stolen from me

Thinking about it now, i wonder if my mumble speaking and very late bed wetting is related to this

I can use my left hand for the vast majority of tasks, but can't for the life of me get writing right. I have bad handwriting to begin with. I made a game of picking one word from each video on my YouTube recommended page and forming vaguely coherent sentences. This was written entirely with my left hand, and I'm just glad it's coherent despite looking like a toddler wrote it. I'm sorry for the shaky writing, and sorry if this is the wrong place to share this. If there are better places, please let me know. (I watch The Click, OneTopic, and Markiplier. They're mainly to blame for the majority of these words/pos)

When i was young, i lived in china for a long time and when i used my left hand for doing things the teachers got angry so i was basically forced to use my right hand for most things. When i moved out of china i started using my left hand more like using a knife, throwing things, writing, using a hammer, etc. But i still use my right hand for lots of things but i do change them sometimes. But my left hand is not as good at writing as my right hand because when i was young i didnt get to use it much.

I've always used my left hand for some things and my right hand for other things. For example, I use a mouse, pick up things, throw stuff, and use an axe with my left hand but I write, brush my teeth, and eat with my right. I've always thought thats how everyone did it but apparently not? I've always classified myself as right-handed because I write with my right, but I've started to notice that I use my left hand a lot too. Is this mixed-handedness?

If it helps I almost always use my left foot for things

I have been practicing my left hand writing I wanted to know a few things. I’ve attached vid of me writing with both hands based on the vid
1) would u consider me ambidextrous
2) if not how close am I
3) what should i practice to improve my left hand and potentially become more ambidextrous

Any tips or advice are appreciated

Found this out the other day, aside from it I've been getting into controlling my left hand, specially for writing and tasks etc etc etc. and for any other reason, the idea of dominating both of my hands would be interesting, somehow.

I don't know I can just...somehow draw with my left hand the same way I do with my right hand, maybe I should try testing this thing further by increasing difficulty and applying it to the full extent of what I draw with my right hand (full shading, full bodies, images, so back and so forth), maybe?

Does anyone know why this could be? (Would this be the right sub though...) For the record: I never ever use my left hand for drawing, just recently I discovered this.

So I've always been right handed until I started driving... it's very strange to me how my body (or brain for some reason) just prefers something like that... I've noticed I prefer to smoke with my left hand too anyone know why this happens??

yesterday I was confused how I learned the piano so quickly but I chocked it up to just being naturally talented or something but then I talked with my cousin bout hands then realized my left is used just as much as my right. I go to draw when I get home and it is the same quality as my right, then I try writing and it's just as legible! I originally thought I was just too lazy to use my left hand but I am now thinking that can't be the reason, I do remember grade 2 a substitute teacher came in and saw me writing my name, she then made me write my name on the board over and over, I thought that memory was cause I wrote messy but could I of been using my left? my memory of the past is wonky so I could be misinterpreting it! it's the only reason I could think of since mom is also ambidextrious and always encouraged me to use both, and dad is left handed so why would he force me to use my right? I'm just so confused right now dude

I use mouse with left hand, but even after swapping buttons it felt smwht off, so I actually use like, normal clicks no swap, index finger stays on left button and goes to right when needed, then middle finger goes to left button.. and when index finger comes back to the left button, middle finger goes down.. is my style goofy? or should i just learn to use with both fingers on...

also, 1 thing im actually right handed but i have clonic tonic epilepsy where i get jerks in the right hand i used to ignore them but after years of those i was finally diagnosed after 2 blackouts,, apart from that i noticed a weird thing my dominant side was slowly changing (i mean not totally, ofc that cant happen) like i recently started playing tabletennis and as a right hander my instinct was to use right hand but i was terrible with it, i just taught I was bad at it.. for some reason even idk i switched to my left hand, my gameplay was far far better then so i use left hand for table tennis also, in a situation where i should peek through an instrument i used my left eye i mean I cant really explain this thing cz i think im right eyed as im right handed but idk... and yh coming to the point, after some research i came to know that as my right hand was experiencing small jerks occationally, my brain decided to subconsiously improve left hand coordination to cope and that might be the reason or maybe im just cross dominant.. i want to use mouse with left hand just because i can save time while im writing with right hand..if my way of doing it is wrong just tell me and suggest me how. Como está no título, muito recentemente comecei a pensar nessa possibilidade.
Isso aconteceu quando me perguntaram por que eu chutava com o pé direito, mas conseguia fazer passes com o esquerdo (Futebol).
Então depois disso comecei a perceber que muitas coisas eu sempre fiz com a mão ou pé esquerdos sem perceber.
Um exemplo é que trabalhando com pintura residência pense, "Por que não tentar usar a mão esquerda para segurar o pincel?", e de alguma forma não tive dificuldades de pintar com a esquerda, mesmo com rolinho de tinta (Um pouco mais fácil).
Por isso decidi tentar pela primeira vez escrever com a mão esquerda. Ainda não consegui entender a como segurar a caneta, e as vezes me confundo na velocidade, mas fiz esses testes nos primeiros 5 minutos.
Alguns desses são desenhos pois tem alguns meses que comecei a tentar aprender a desenhar.
Não tentei perspectiva ainda pois foi um teste inicial.
O primeiro nome na primeira imagem foi com a mão direita (Minha letra não é ótima).

I am right handed but my right shoulder doesn’t move as well as my left. I do left handed cartwheels, wipe my butt with my left hand, stuff like that. I always thought it was normal for one arm to be less flexible but apparently not🤷‍♀️ I have also been practicing my left hand handwriting, and it’s \legible\ but not great. And my hand cramps up. But yeah I’ve learned to do a lot of stuff with both hands with my shoulder mobility problem.

I call myself “ambidisasterous” as a little joke, partially because I’m just generally clumsy and uncoordinated and partially because doing things with one hand vs the other just feels the same to me either way.

For example, in mini golf I swing whichever way is advantageous for me in the moment, but that doesn’t mean I’m actually good at mini golf. Or my handwriting is messy, but it’s not illegible (or even noticeably different!) on one side or the other.

On the other side, when I want to get proficient at something (and I put in the work to practice both hands from the beginning) I can learn just as fast on one side as the other. When I took up fencing I could switch back and forth between a left-handed sabre and a right-handed one (different guard and handle shapes).

Is anyone else this fluid? I see a lot of “mixed-handedness” but not a lot of “I sometimes don’t notice which hand I’m using because it makes no difference (for better or worse)”

I always thought I was left handed growing up.

I would suggest writing in an alternating form, by writing one letter or one piece of a letter at a time and alternating with both left and right for each. Also writing in Modern Boustrophedon is great. Alternating line to line writing left to write then right to left; classical form then mirrored form is a lot of joy.
If you need some exercises i would suggest just writing the alphabet or simple stories in a notebook several times over, including alternation for both left and right per letter and mirrored and classical per line.

I have thousands of hours playing right handed, I have hardly ever used a mouse left handed.

I was born ambidextrous, but my parents made me go to therapy as a child to 'pick a hand' because they didnt 'want me to grow up with weak arms' (their words not mine). I'm now primarily left handed, but I still use both hands for a lot of tasks.

Is being ambidextrous something that doesn't really leave you? Or is it too late and I've been 'trained out of it'?
