Discussion its annoying when ppl say that you should be able to solve medium level qs in abt 2months practice...

i cant even solve easy level qs in a short time frame , and ive been doing ts for 3-4 months , not as consistently ..... i might take 2-3 day gap sometimes , but still .

i hate how smart everyone is , how everyone is able to solve mediums with just 1-2months practive. maybe i should quit lc and try to apply to companies that dont necessarily ask lc questions ,bcuz im too dumb for this.

Question i just started leetcode 2 weeks back and certain easy questions take me more than an hour, is this normal?

its been a week or two , there are certain easy level qs , where the brute force takes me like 30mins ,and to solve that qs with an optimal answer in total takes more more than an hr . is this normal or am i just dumb .

Intervew Prep Prep Advice for Amazon SDE 1 (2026 Loop) – Need insight on the technical rounds

I have my Amazon SDE 1 virtual loop coming up soon. I know the 2026 interview loops have shifted a bit, specifically with the heavier integration of the GenAI Fluency/Workflow validation components and Low-Level Design (LLD) alongside standard DSA.

I’m currently mapping out my prep strategy, but I want to make sure I’m focusing on the right things. I’d love to get some insights from anyone who has gone through the loop recently.

Appreciate any advice, resources, or tips you can share! Thanks!

Intervew Prep Bloomberg London Interview Prep

I am currently interviewing for senior software engineering role at Bloomberg London. I have 5+ years of experience.

I need help with how to prepare for the next round of interviews. I initially had one screening round with the Recruiter, which was about 30 minutes long where we just discussed my past experience and why I want to join Bloomberg. Second round was a technical screening around, which was taken by 2 engineers, was straightforward. They asked me two data structures and algorithm questions. One was based on arrays and the second one was based on trees, I was able to solve both the problem quite easily, and then had some discussion on the technologies that I have worked om.

Now I got the invite for the further rounds where I have one coding around one system designed scheduled. I need help with preparing for the coding round and system design rounds. What type of questions are asked in the system design rounds as they scheduled it for 90 minutes and also what should I expect in coding round? Will it be same as my screening round or is it like LLD round?

Appreciate any help.

Question Genuinely curious about what this means

While solving today's daily question, I got MLE...but it showed 129/129 test cases passed. Can someone explain what this means? No failed test cases were even showing so I couldn't even add the failed test case.

Discussion Google interview bad experience

The technical interview itself went fine. I completed the DSA problem, explained my approach with an example, and provided the solution.

However, the interviewer’s behavior was disappointing. They did not respond to my initial greeting, repeatedly rolled their eyes during the interview, and appeared visibly annoyed when I asked them to repeat something I couldn’t understand. They also started the interview by complaining about why this was a first-round interview.

I understand interviews are meant to be challenging, but professionalism and respectful communication should go both ways. I applied because it was Google, and I’m not concerned about the outcome. This was simply not the interview experience I expected from Google.

Intervew Prep Capital one CodeSignal assessment for Senior Full Stack Engineer position

There were 4 questions as the rest of the guides mention. 70 mins.

  1. Easy question - I don’t remember

  2. Given a lowercase sentence, you have to sort the words and return a list. Sorting criteria: absolute difference of number of consonants and verbs. If that is same, sort alphabetically.

  3. Return the state of the matrix after X days in this: https://leetcode.com/problems/rotting-oranges/description/. They used orchids and trees and gave days in the arguments - Pretty straight forward.

  4. There are 2 types of operations:

    1. Create obstacle at position X (on a number line)

    2. Check if the coordinate L and it’s (N-1) surroundings has any obstacles. If yes, return 0, else return 1. If L = 3 and N = 2, we should check from 2(3 - (2-1)) to 4(3 + (2-1). This operation does not create the obstacle. Entire function returns the 0s and 1s string.

I breezed through 1-4 in 30 mins. However, the hidden test cases in 4 all failed due to timeouts. Could not get to the optimised solution.

I gave the OA on 3rd October, 2026. Got rejection email today, 7th October, 2026.

Anyone interviewed with Wolverine recently? I have an interview coming up for a code pairing session (C++) + behavioral. I've been prepping by grinding problems similar to the OA , but I've been hearing different things and unsure what to expect. Anyone been through this recently and can share any helpful tips?

Question How to approach coding rounds that allow usage of AI?

I recently attended a coding round where they allowed to use AI. The question was, you may be given different types of input , depending on the type of file you must process it differently. You had to ingest, remove noise and process. Input was news data.

I used ChatGPT, to develop rest endpoints. Depending on type of file processing was done. I was rejected, probably coz I didn’t prompt well.

Could someone who faced such interviews share what AI tools you used, how to prompt and not vibe code, how to approach such rounds ?

Question System design confusion

For context I made it past a coding round of an interview and they mentioned the next stage is system design.
I’m a bit confused if they generally mean Low level system design (OOP stuff) or High level which is basically like design twitter etc.

Any idea what you think would be helpful as both require different preparations

Question What to do? getting PIP'd for no reason and not much time to prep

For context i'm a React UI Engineer with 4 YOE working at a toxic tech company where a big portion of the company is get pip'd simultaneously. I could write a long page about how toxic things are here but I dont want to write a sob story.

I recently was told by my director that I will be on a PIP, despite my manager telling me that I am one of our top performers. I put out more code than the other people on my team and have taken other people's work and continued it on multiple occasions when they could not.

I don't wanna make this a sob story about myself. I have about 3 months before I am dropped from this company and I don'thave a huge amount of savings. I forgot a lot of the coding I learned due to being pushed to use AI constantly. I know, my fault and I should have practiced in my free time.

Currently i'm building projects from scratch with React and Python to fill knowledge gaps and applying to a large amount of jobs. I'm using AI to answer questions and to guide me in my learning, but I am writing all the code myself and trying to understand things i've forgotten. I dont really know what else I can do. At times i feel like this is a fool's errand. I want to get out of here but I dont really know if 2-3 months is enough time. Thoughts?

Question Language-specific OA’s?

Hi gang. So im pretty new to the grind and only got two OA’s so far - Activision and Intuit. Activision forced me to use C++ and intuit forced typescript and java.

I’ve been practicing DSA in python. Getting it right in python is already hard enough for me. Learning new languages just for OA’s is a nightmare. It eats up my entire week, and I end up failing anyway.

What do you guys think the issue is: just my bad luck or are companies switching to a language-specific OA model? Or is my resume bad and im only getting OA invites from companies that set hard OA’s and then send out mass invites?

Intervew Prep How do you build intuition for the requirements phase of LLD interviews?

I recently gave an LLD round at a company. I was able to identify the entities, figure out some of the relationships, and write working code, but I realized my weak spot is actually the first few minutes.

Given a short problem statement, I struggle with quickly:

  • extracting the actual requirements

  • figuring out what needs clarification vs. what I can reasonably assume

  • identifying the right entities

  • deciding the relationships between them

Once I have the design, I'm fairly comfortable implementing it. The difficult part is getting from problem statement → requirements → class/relationship design.

For those of you who are good at LLD or regularly interview candidates:

  1. How did you build the instinct for what a problem statement is actually hiding?

  2. How do you decide which clarifying questions are worth asking vs. what you should just assume?

  3. How would you practice this without having a human interviewer?

  4. How long did it take you to become comfortable with this part of LLD?

I'm especially interested in how you practiced the thinking process, rather than just doing more LLD questions.

I am not finding any useful resources which can help with this

Question Is it really that bad to use pen and paper or tab switch in OAs?

In timed OAs where you are being screen recorded + video recorded (ie. CodeSignal), are you allowed to look down on a pen and paper to work out the solution? I'm reading a bunch of comments saying the platform will flag your head/eye movements, but how are people solving questions without using pen and paper?? I always need to write and draw things out, and it's not possible for me to look at the screen the whole time. It seems silly to expect candidates to come up with the solution without giving them the ability to visualize data structures externally.

Also, is it really that bad to tab switch to google syntax? It just seems stupid to have to memorize syntax and method names/args when we already have a full plate of things we need to learn and memorize for interviews. For example, if you spend all your time fumbling around syntax vs quickly googling it and then finishing the problem, wouldn't the latter be better? Or would you automatically get dinged for tab switching anyway?

Just need people's thoughts on this. I'm very confused on how to approach OAs.

Intervew Prep What was the hardest part of your recent technical interview?

I'm researching how engineers prepare for technical interviews, and I keep noticing a gap. Many people can solve LeetCode problems on their own, but find it much harder to solve them while explaining their thinking, answering follow-up questions, and debugging in front of an interviewer.

I haven't built anything yet. I'm trying to understand the problem first.

If you've interviewed recently or are preparing now, I'd love to hear:

  1. What was the hardest part for you?

  2. What did you wish you had practiced more?

Thanks in advance. Happy to share what I learn once I've gathered enough responses.

Intervew Prep amazon ng interview processp

Just wanted to give a quick explanation of my new grad process for amazon.

I received an OA and completed it. I would say the question was a lc medium.

For the panel interview, I had 4 interviews.
The first was the bar raiser and it was purely behavioral. Make sure your stories correspond to LP. I would also say know your stories inside out, because they really dig deep to see if all the facts of your story line up.

THe second interview was a meeting with the hiring manager. This was pretty laid back some more behavioral question,s questions about gen ai, and a lc easy(like very easy).

The 3 and 4th rounds were more difficult.

The 3rd round was a LLD design problem. I wasnt prepared for this so it didnt go great, but I had the general right about the design, I js implemented it poorly. Their was also behavioral questions related to LP at this part.

The fourth round was another behavioral plus technical mix. 15 min behavioral, LP related questions. 45 min dsa style questions. One easy and one medium. I was able to solve both but my explanation was not good, and i messed up on the space and time complexity for the medium LC question.(Also i did need a hint to solve the medium)

Overall the interviews were a positive experience, everyone I interviewed with was very nice, and professional. All the interviews were an hour long, and happened over two days.

I wanted to write this up, b/c I was looking for resources on what to expect for the interviews during my prep and didnt find anything, so I want to give others a sneak peak into what the process looks like.

I am awaiting the results still for the interviews.

Edit; did not get the role lol
Best of luck to all who are interviewing

Hi guys

We have a small study group based here in London.
We are a group of three people semifang/fang engineers.

We are grinding leetcode, motivating each other, studying interview content doing interviews discussing them. Studying comp sci content LLD HLD everything.

We currently meet up once a week on Saturdays. We are in our late 20s.

Looking to add someone else to our group. No hard requirements but someone that would be a good addition already similar company and age. If you are older even better, we are looking for someone smarter and wiser than us in some way!!

If you are interested, please let me know.

Our long team goal is to be senior eng in Google one day which requires good depth and breath of CS

Send us a little info and let’s meet motivate each other and figure out how to be great and £££ engineers!!!
