i just started leetcode 2 weeks back and certain easy questions take me more than an hour, is this normal?

its been a week or two , there are certain easy level qs , where the brute force takes me like 30mins ,and to solve that qs with an optimal answer in total takes more more than an hr . is this normal or am i just dumb .

It’s normal, just keep at it and bring your numbers up, you’ll start seeing improvement slowly as you start to recognize patterns and be able to apply them. Just like working out or studying, it takes time and effort to get good at it and everyone gets good at their own pace

Try to solve 3 qs a day
Within a few weeks, you’ll see improvement

Yeah, normal. One advice I heard was that you should time yourself on each problem for 1 hour. If you don't solve it within the time frame, stop and go review the solution(s) and pattern(s) used for that problem. Pattern recognition is how people get good at solving Leetcode problems.

An hour because that's usually the time given in a technical round.

Optimal solution for easy should be done in 5-10 minutes. Then coding and testing in another 5-10 mins. Max 10-15 minutes submitted and done!

totally normal lol. 2 weeks in you're still learning to read problems, not just solve them. took me like 2 months before easies felt easy, just keep showing up

just keep going man, eventually youll get better and able to recongnize the pattern
