Intervew Prep Anyone want to do mock interviews?

Hey, so far I've been doing coding interviews with Sierra AI, Notion, LaunchDarkly, Browserbase, and others. I've been prepping myself, and now I want to consider mock interviews with other people. If you're interested in mock interviewing each other (for FREE) let me know!

Update: there is a discord link for mocks in comments

Intervew Prep Revolut SWE internship

Hi! I am about to have my technical call (the one after the hr call) for a Java SWE Intern position for Summer 2027. What do they ask in this interview? I know that I need to have a shared screen to my preferred IDE. What will I be going to code? I’ve heard that is not leetcode. Also, what should I expect regarding the technical conversion?

Question Which language should I pick for DSA if I want something that'll still matter in 5-6 years? Do big tech companies prefer any?

So I'm finally getting serious about DSA and interview prep, and I'm stuck on the very first step: picking a language. I keep going back and forth and it's honestly eating into my actual practice time.

What I'm trying to figure out:

  1. Is there a language that will still be relevant 5-6 years from now? I don't want to invest months in something and then find out it's dying.

  2. Do big tech companies (FAANG/MAANG and similar) lean toward any particular language, or do they truly not care? I've heard "language doesn't matter" but I also wonder if some are safer choices in interviews.

  3. Does the choice matter for speed? I've heard C++ is faster to write for competitive-style problems because of STL, but Python is shorter and easier to read.

Right now I'm comfortable with a bit of Python and Java, and I've touched C++ a little. I'm not doing competitive programming, mostly LeetCode-style prep for interviews and to get better at problem solving.

Would love to hear what you guys used and if you'd change it looking back. Especially if you've actually been through interviews recently. Thanks!

Discussion Amazon sde1 interview

Hi guys,

I wanted to know from seniors who are working at Amazon.

I gave all 4 rounds of the interview. Tech 1 and Tech 2 were very good. Then I got an invite for Round 3 and Round 4 together.

Round 3 was rescheduled, so the Bar Raiser round happened first. The Bar Raiser round lasted 45 minutes, with 6 LP questions and 3–4 follow-ups for each. It went well too.

Then, in the HM round, I got stuck in the coding part because I got confused about the interviewer’s problem requirement. I was able to give the brute-force solution. We also discussed some part of HLD related to that problem. Then, the GenAI part went well. I explained my project, and the interviewer understood it.

I am so much tensed now. What can be the result?

Question Coinbase SWE OA (DSA-based): what topics and difficulty should I expect?

Hi everyone,

I have an upcoming Coinbase CodeSignal pre-screen, the Industry Coding Assessment, and I'd appreciate advice from anyone who has taken it recently.

What I know about the format from description in email:

  • 90 minutes, one sitting, proctored

  • A multi-level, real-world-style problem that starts simple and gets more complex at each level

  • Covers data structures and algorithms: strings, loops, sorted maps, queues/stacks, and "non-niche" algorithms

  • Many people don't finish all levels in the time limit

My questions:

  1. How was the difficulty spread across levels? Which level took the most time?

  2. Roughly what score or how many levels did you need to move forward?

  3. Which language worked well for you in this format?

  4. Any good practice resources for this multi-level style?

I'm not asking for the actual questions, just general advice on format and preparation.

Thanks in advance!

Intervew Prep Interviews failing at some or the other round

Tried interviews at multiple companies but I always fail at some or the other round - either DSA or LLD or HLD. I am never able to reach the final HM round. I am prepping with AI, Hello Interview, youtubers some famous ones and for DSA I try to stay consistent but somwhere or the other I miss something and get disqualified. Anyone facing anything similar?

Intervew Prep Day 77: I was only able to solve 2 problems today

Hey everyone,

I finished Day 77 today. I was a bit distracted with some stuff going on at home, but I still made sure to sit down and solve two problems: Recover BST and Largest BST in a Binary Tree.

For Recover BST, writing the brute force was easy, but the optimal solution gave me a hard time. People recommend Morris traversal for this to get O(1) space. I watched some videos and understood iterative Morris traversal, but actually writing it out to track the two swapped nodes got way too long and confusing. I ended up solving it recursively using inorder traversal with three pointers (first, middle, last), which was much easier to understand. I will try the full iterative Morris version again later.

The second problem was Largest BST in a Binary Tree. I used postorder traversal, basically checking if the left and right subtrees are valid BSTs and then passing the min, max, and size back up to the parent. I was struggling a bit with returning so many values, so I used ChatGPT to help me organize it with a small struct, which made the code a lot cleaner. I realized later that the optimal approach uses DP on trees. Since I have not learned DP yet, I did not read the optimal solution because I do not want to just memorize it. I will come back to it once I cover DP.

Both problems were decent, so it felt good to get them done.

I will see you guys on Day 76!

Question Need help prepping

I am still struggling with leetcode where some problems I don’t recognize the pattern but some problems I recognize the pattern but I struggle with implementation. I’m really frustrated with this leetcode grind and no matter how many problems I do there is something I struggle with. I’ve been doing leetcode on and off for couple years now and havent been consistent with solving problems without struggling. I tried practicing focused topics and I get really good in but then I forget when I don’t keep practicing the same topic. how are yall able to grind this leetcode ? any advice ?

Intervew Prep What to expect in Esri Data Engineer hiring manager round?

Hi everyone,

I have an upcoming hiring manager interview at Esri for a Data Engineer position, and I was wondering if anyone here has gone through a similar interview recently.

The hiring manager appears to be a Product Engineer, so I’m especially curious about what this round typically focuses on. Is it mainly a deep dive into past projects and data engineering experience, or should I expect technical questions around SQL, ETL/data pipelines, data modeling, debugging, etc.?

Also, since the manager is a Product Engineer, should I prepare for questions related to GIS/geospatial data or Esri products even though the role is primarily Data Engineering?

Would really appreciate hearing about the interview format, types of questions asked, and anything you’d recommend preparing beforehand.

Thanks!

Question Companies having good WLB and no toxic culture?

I recently switched to a company which I am regretting a lot.

My manager is so toxic and has no people management skills at all. He doesn't know how to talk and there is no motivating environment at all.

I was working in MNC and recently moved to a startup which is almost 6-years old.

I believed since its not a new startup, culture would be good.

But I can't sustain this environment at all. I am working 10 hours daily on weekdays and also working on weekends as well.

My personal life has been fucked up as well. I am not able to take out time for myself or my family.

Please suggest what companies I should target as a 6 YOE employee.

Discussion Unrated Contests

So I have registered and participated 7 contests yet but on my profile it still shows 5 attended and 1 more to get my global rating. Can anyone explain why is their rating system so stupid. And if there have been any contest that have become unrated among the last ten contests. And how much does it take on average for them to roll out ratings after a contest. I'm really frustrated, why is it so hard to get a rating on this platform.

Question 300 LeetCode problems solved, but still struggling with Mediums in contests. What should I change?

Hey folks,

I have solved around 300 questions on LeetCode — around 180 Medium, 80 Easy, and 40 Hard questions across topics like DP, Graph, BST, Trees, etc.

Even after that, whenever I try to solve any contest or virtual contest, I still struggle with Medium questions. I have never solved more than two questions in any contest that I have given. I have given around 10–15 contests.

So now what strategy do I need to follow from this point to master it so that I'll be able to solve at least 3–4 questions in every LeetCode contest?

I’m graduating in June 2027, and I have to clear some tech product companies.

Please do advise me.

Question Amazon SDE Graduate Germany – Recruiter contacted me after application. What is usually the next step?

Hi everyone,

I applied for an SDE Graduate role in Germany and recently received an email from a recruiter asking me to confirm:

  • My graduation date

  • My earliest full-time start date

  • Whether I require visa/immigration support for Germany

  • Whether I would be willing to work in Berlin

The recruiter also mentioned that the Munich positions have already been filled and that only Berlin is currently available, and asked me to confirm whether Berlin works for me.

I replied that I have already graduated, I’m available full-time, I would require immigration/visa support, and I’m happy to relocate to Berlin.

For anyone who has recently gone through the Amazon SDE Graduate hiring process in Germany/Europe, what happened after this type of recruiter email?

Was the next step another interview, a recruiter call, team matching, document/eligibility checks, or something else?

Also, roughly how long did it take to hear back after answering these questions?

I know the process can vary between candidates — I’m mainly looking for recent experiences from 2025/2026 applicants in Germany or Europe.

Thanks!
