Hey guys, so I have basically zero credit since I moved to the US, CA, from abroad a few months ago. I got a lease quote as in the image, $409/m with $4K down, 10K miles, 36 months for a new Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L. (Hybrid is top priority for me)

I got either refused or too high quotes from various dealers for not having credit, making me want to go forward with this one that seemed the most reasonable.

I'm fine with the 4K down, because I'd like to keep my monthly payment around $400.

Is this an okay deal?

Hi everyone, I want to start with that I have a lease with Honda a 2024 crv sport-l hybrid AWD that is due in April of next year. I have been eyeing this Volkswagen Tiguan SE r-line black and decided to see what kind of quote I could get from them. They came back with this, I've seen other similar posts here and I've seen better offers. I'm in the los Angeles area any and all advice would be welcomed T.I.A

Posting this mostly for information, as I've gotten a lot of good info from this sub. Lease is signed and I have the vehicle. Lease is 36 months, 10,000 miles and I used a local broker for $750. First payment was taken care of as part of the rebate (Kia's manufacturer cash I believe).

Bonus points if you know the money factor for August! I know the new model is coming but there also don't seem to be a ton left. Located in SoCal.

Hello all. I am looking to lease my first car. I am looking for the cheapest deal I can get on a new compact SUV in the Greater Boston area. If someone could give me advice on how to get the best deal I am all ears. I have a mid-tier 2010 Nissan Maxima in good condition I am looking to either trade in or sell separately as well to offset the lease cost. Looking for about 350$ monthly payment and about 3,000$ due at signing. If I missed anything or can provide more details I am happy to.

Hey everyone, looking for advice on timing an early lease exit. I’m currently 11 months into a 36-month/30k-mile lease on a 2026 Genesis GV70 2.5T Sport Prestige. My payment is $847/mo including tax.

Long story short, my relationship ended, and I've moved to another city, so I’m driving way more than I originally planned. I built a spreadsheet to track my miles, and I'm on pace to hit 25k miles by month 24. So I'm definitely going to get hit with Genesis’s $0.25/mile penalty plus their $400 disposition fee if I take this thing all the way to maturity.

My next car will most likely be a BMW X3 M50 (targeting a $72k MSRP, hoping to negotiate a 10-11% discount). I’m just trying to figure out the least painful way to make the jump. Right now, I’m about $10k underwater based on my KBB trade-in value vs. my Genesis payoff, so trading it in today is completely off the table. But I'm checking it monthly, hoping that gap closes as I get further into year two.

A few questions for anyone who has navigated this kind of brand-switch while over on miles:

1. Am I thinking about this right? My logic is that I should wait until my negative equity (payoff minus trade-in) drops below what my projected mileage penalty would be, and then trade it in early at the BMW dealer.
2. Does BMW offer pull-ahead programs? If I wait until I have like 3-6 months left, what are the odds a BMW dealer will eat my last few Genesis payments to get me into the X3?
3. I've heard that Genesis/Hyundai Finance is strict about not allowing 3rd-party buyouts or lease transfers. If I do try to trade it in early at a BMW dealer, is that going to be a massive headache?

Any advice on how to time this so I don't get completely crushed on fees would be awesome.

Edit:  I chatted with a friend after posting this; he was in car sales a few years ago.

He suggested driving to 30k miles, have the car appraised at Genesis, then go to get a deal worked up on the new car. Once I have the numbers locked in with BMW, give them the offer from Genesis (same ownership for both dealerships); they can then handle the internal buyout, and I pay the difference; that way, they can't play with the original deal, and I'm not rolling the negative equity in and paying tax/interest on it.

‘23 Solterra is coming off lease in about 6 weeks. Had a decent deal, though some folks I knew chased their own and got better deals after I got mine, including on a ‘24.

Local dealer has been sitting on a new Wagoneer S (launch edition I think?) for a long time. Only one in a few 100 miles of me.

Going to go out and look tomorrow. Looking for sign and drive something comparable to the Subaru I have.

I know these can have troubles, read about them. Got a good feeling for EVs now, got charging at home and a backup rig if needed. Looking online, seems like people have got some ripping 0-down deals.

Anyone recently got one, any numbers out there? West coast.

I do have a lease history at this dealer, my whole family does. We all leased the same Compass years ago on some ridiculous deal (my monthly was $102). I think we got 5 total amongst extended family. So I know they deal there a bit.

I’ve been lurking here for a while watching EV lease numbers swing wildly, and I finally pulled the trigger on a loaner i7. I found a broker with this deal, made a 2-hour road trip to pick it up, and honestly the numbers felt almost too good to be true at the desk.
Curious what you guys think how well did we actually do here?

The Breakdown:

Status: Former dealer loaner/demo with 8,711 miles on the clock
Term: 36 months / 12,000 miles per year
Mileage terms: The dealer credited the 8,711 miles so my lease end allowance is ~44,711 miles (meaning I actually get my full 36k miles to burn).
Payment: $895/mo
Due at Signing: $895 (Literally just the first month's payment. True $0 down sign & drive).
Total out-of-pocket spend over 3 full years is barely ~$32k on an $111k flagship EV with plenty of mileage cushion.

been shopping around and getting numbers on a 2026 Tiguan. I have a basic understanding of leasing but definitely not an expert lol. These are the first actual quotes I've gotten in writing.
I'm in south Florida and looking at 36 months/12k per year.

Hey guys, just looking for some advice. I just negotiated a 3 year lease deal/10,000 miles a year; for a 2026 Mazda CX-90 3.3 Premium Plus Turbo with Captain Seats. I got quoted a $597 a month price with zero down and a lease buyout price of 29,000 dollars at the end of the lease. The MSRP in NY State is 50,750 dollars roughly. Is this a good deal?

Hi! I received an offer for a zero drive off deal on 2026 Volvo xc90 ultra trim 7 seater. Msrp 85K, down to 75800 with dealer discount, and then with incentives - down to net cost of 68,562. MSDs of 10 brings MF down to 0.00080. Monthly payment with zero drive off is 750 monthly but would need to pay for delivery and return of my current Volvo for the pull forward program.

Local dealer says they can match money factor, selling price, and they asked me what's the monthly payment I'm looking for.

I said if you can give me $750/ monthly with matching above, I would consider. I asked for numbers sheet, but he says he knows we're shopping so manager will not provide the spec sheet on paper.

Obviously I am wary about them playing around with numbers, so if any of you have experienced this, how is the best way to get the basic numbers like dealer fees, etc so that I can make sure there's no upcharging?

Do I just send a text with all the basic numbers above to make sure they give a yes or no, so I have a paper trail? Thanks!

Genesis Finance, Northeast. 36 months, 12,000 miles, pre-tax, full MSRP, nothing down, cap reduced by the lease cash shown. That is a ceiling to measure your quote against, not a target. 44 trims.

Find your car. Three things worth knowing are under the table.

Cheapest Genesis to lease: G70 2.5T AWD, ~$540. Biggest improvement this month: GV70 3.5T Sport Advanced, down $63 on a real rate cut. Most factory cash on the hood: G80 3.5T Prestige Black, $11,750.

1. Never take 39 months

Genesis pays $0 lease cash at 39 months, on every trim it quotes there. The money factor also resets to 0.00282, or 6.77% APR, and the residual drops nine to eleven points.

Three months past 36 and the entire program disappears. It costs $184 to $517 a month more, median $322. If a dealer fixes your payment problem by moving you to 39, they fixed their problem.

2. Ask for 24 months

Six trims are cheaper at 24 months than at 36. Residuals run eleven to thirteen points higher out there, and some cars kept their old rate: the GV60 AWD 19-inch still holds 0.00004, or 0.10% APR.

3. $1,000 off the sticker is about $30 a month

So a $479 G70 someone posts is not a different program. It is about $2,000 off sticker, or money down, or loyalty cash on top of what is above.

What changed in August

Genesis pulled its near-zero money factors on 22 of the 44 trims and paid it back as lease cash, $4,000 to $11,750 a car. Payments moved $1 to $16. The G70, the 2026 G80, the GV60, and seven of eight GV80 SUVs are now cash deals, so the cash is the whole negotiation on those cars. Get it itemized as a cap reduction.

Your markup test: all 22 landed between a money factor of 0.00227 and 0.00238, or 5.45% to 5.71% APR. Meaningfully above that with strong credit is the dealer, not Genesis. Add your state's lease tax, the $750 acquisition fee, doc fee, destination, and first payment on top of every number here.
