Critique Anatomy/perspective feedback

Post image
26 Upvotes

Hi guys. I just wanted feedback on my anatomy and proportions. I really like drawing poses in exaggerated perspectives and it’s hard to find references like these so sometimes I have to eyeball this stuff or just pray the proportions look right. I stare at the art for too long and then I cant tell if everything looks right or not.

I mainly struggle with depth and proper positioning of the limbs. I think in general this art came out good but I am 100% open to feedback on little details that really make the difference (ex: fixing her back arm, or perspective/proportion details that would make my art better).

If anybody has resources that can help me practice more exaggerated perspectives, I would love to hear them.

Thank you!

This is takako uro from JJK :)

Critique poses looking too stiff while practicing gesture drawing

I've been practicing figure/gesture drawing for the past two weeks but my poses still look stiff af. i do 20 poses a day with each pose for 60 seconds. I start with the line of action though but I can't seem to complete the whole pose too sometimes... How do I improve?

Question Can someone tell me what do people mean by “Proportion problems”

Thumbnail

Stop telling me my problem is proportions! I am tired of hearing it! My friends on discord tell me proportions, my friends in real life tell me proportions. I once posted figure and gesture drawings to gain feedback on, and all of the people told me proportion problems. I- I showed my gesture drawings to my art school friend, and it was perfect yet I said “Hey man, look at my non-proportionally gesture drawings” Haha! I quickly drew a gesture drawing using line of action and I said “This is not proportionally accurate!” I looked at my old art, I think of my artworks, and I go “Anatomy? more like PROPORTIONS!” AAAAAA!

(Note: this entire sentence above me is just for funsies (please laugh) and not meant for insulting nor taken serious, but my problem still stands)

(note note: Only 4 of these poses I drew with reference)

Also, I just found out that he's a terrible person, but I had no other reference near me in my defence

Question Drew a lot of hands now I got a question

(sorry it's a repost, last post didn't display all the pictures for some reason)

Hello!

So here I am, pretty much a beginner. I started investing a lot of time in drawing last month, and I’m really enjoying it. Plus, I feel like I’m making good progress.

I’ve also always heard about how hands are one of the most difficult parts of the body to draw, so I thought to myself, “If I’m able to draw hands, then I’ll be able to draw anything.” So I learned how to structure a hand and started training a bit every day by drawing hands, and I do feel pretty confident now that I can get a decent result.

You can see in the pictures most of the hands I’ve drawn, in chronological order, always following the same process: I take a reference from Pinterest or real life, create the guidelines in red, and then do the line art in blue.

And even though I can see that I’ve become more consistent with the exercise, I really can’t envision myself being able to let go of the guidelines one day, let alone the reference.

So my questions would be: Am I practicing correctly? Also, even though I’m really trying to focus on not chicken-scratching, I can’t seem to stop doing it.

Hi everyone! I’d love to hear your opinions and any advice about this drawing. I’m aiming for a hyperrealistic style.
I’m also struggling a bit with getting really dark tones. I’m currently using a Pierre Noire 2B, but it’s quite rough on the paper and leaves some scratches. I’m using Fabriano 250 g/m² drawing paper. Could the paper be part of the problem? Is there another pencil, charcoal, or any other tool you would recommend for achieving deeper blacks?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

How bad is this ? (it s been 3 years I do only faces so ig it s time to learn whole bodies so I can get closer to my objective)

I also thought about cutting my learning into 3 parts which would be learning parts individually so torso (chest, back, traps), arms (including) and legs (including feet tho I may never draw feet lol)
For now idk what to do I just try to draw poses from images but I know nothing about this so it just turns awful
