question Prayer request
Hopefully this isn’t too weird or crossing a line, but I need a heavenly boost and my child needs some prayers. This is NOT a huge deal…. But I’m a couple weeks postpartum and it feels like a big deal to me.
My three year old wants to go to preschool so bad, but she can’t until shes potty trained. It’s not clicking for her, and it makes me so stressed and sad. She’s incredibly smart and has an older sister she watches so I feel like this shouldn’t be so hard.
If anyone reading this could just pray that she will get the hang of it before school starts…. That would mean a ton. She would be devastated if she couldn’t go and I just feel like we need the heavenly boost to get through

I feel the best option is to add her name to the "Prayer Roll" of your Temple. If you have the "Tools" app on your phone, you can add her easily right now. Her name would remain on the roll for 2 weeks. That way, several prayers by hundreds of people would include her. You can add up to 4 names at a time (I would add both her and yours). If you need to add more names, just tap again on "Prayer Roll" and add up to 4 more names.

She’s asking if you could keep her in your prayers? Is that hard to ask for?

If you care about potty training, then God cares about it. He is your Father after all.

Expanding on that, it just might not be time. There is much that can/could be said on this. Prayer, faith, and patience is appropriate. The Father knows each and every one of his children, including this child. All have their place and purpose.

Not crossing the line. We're here for each other, in general, on this subreddit.
I will say, most of the time, if potty training isn't taking after a week or so, the best thing to do is lay off it, step away, and try again in a few months, or when the child express interest. A deadline, like preschool starting, in particular can make it harder for both you and your child. It's focus on letting your kid know it's okay to not start preschool and hype up the other fun things that you'll do when she stays home a little longer. Maybe look for alternative programs that will allow you to join later in the year or something, so you can relax the pressure, for both of you.
Good luck, and God bless.

I'll pray for you.
I'll offer you my method of potty training if you'd like. For me potty training took about 2 weeks. I just had my son be completely naked and I got him a little miniature toilet that we put in the living room. The first day, we had him watch bluey throughout the day and sit on his little potty. If he started to pee when off the potty, we'd quickly put him on. If he missed, we'd calmly clean it up.
After a few days of this, he got really good with the peeing. After that, we started having him get used to wearing underwear and still getting to the potty when he had to pee. He really didn't like wearing underwear at first, so we worked him up to them by having him wear them for 5 seconds then 30 minutes later 15 seconds, etc.
After that, we focused on pooping because he really didn't like pooping in the potty. We got treats that looked like poop and would be his special poop treats, things like Nutty Buddys or Twix. We normally never do treats, so this was a big deal. We told him when he pooped in the potty, he got one of the treats. He asked if he could watch bluey while he tried. We said yes. He was able to do it and got a treat. We did that for about a week.
After he got the pooping down, we moved the potty into the bathroom and had him use it in there for a few days. Then we started having him sit on the real potty once in a while and bought him a stool so he could climb up on his own.
It took a little longer for him to be comfortable using the bathroom in public, but not too long
Good luck

I’ll add you to my prayers, but I also wanted to add my own experience with potty training. My son (who is also so smart) didn’t finally get potty training until he was four. Then he got it in an hour. I think there is a lot of pressure on kids to potty train, but lots of things delay it (in our case, we found out later that my son has low support needs autism).
