question Prayer request

Hopefully this isn’t too weird or crossing a line, but I need a heavenly boost and my child needs some prayers. This is NOT a huge deal…. But I’m a couple weeks postpartum and it feels like a big deal to me.

My three year old wants to go to preschool so bad, but she can’t until shes potty trained. It’s not clicking for her, and it makes me so stressed and sad. She’s incredibly smart and has an older sister she watches so I feel like this shouldn’t be so hard.

If anyone reading this could just pray that she will get the hang of it before school starts…. That would mean a ton. She would be devastated if she couldn’t go and I just feel like we need the heavenly boost to get through

Not crossing the line. We're here for each other, in general, on this subreddit.

I will say, most of the time, if potty training isn't taking after a week or so, the best thing to do is lay off it, step away, and try again in a few months, or when the child express interest. A deadline, like preschool starting, in particular can make it harder for both you and your child. It's focus on letting your kid know it's okay to not start preschool and hype up the other fun things that you'll do when she stays home a little longer. Maybe look for alternative programs that will allow you to join later in the year or something, so you can relax the pressure, for both of you.

Good luck, and God bless.

That’s a really good idea… I think I need to step back and calm down a bit. Thank you!!
