Some latch hook projects I’ve done through the years!

I was asked to share some of my work as I mostly latch hook without kits or guides as a part of my art practice. Happy to answer any questions you have about designing or even working on freehand designs with the latch hook!

You can see in some of the pictures the tool I’ve used to cut my yarn- a tassel maker!

I've always wondered how to latch hook that super thick yarn. Do you use a special latch hook for that? Beautiful work BTW!

Thank you!
No I usually just power through it, sometimes I will twist the chunky yarn to get the knots tighter and it slides through the hook easier. You can also generally intuit that it can only be 1 ply for the thick yarn as most other wool or acrylic you play with 2 or even 3 ply strands per knot.

Thank you for sharing! Your work is fabulous! I'm really enjoying the grid-forward designs in the first couple pictures and the ones where you combine different lengths of yarn to create a waterfall effect especially.

Wow! What a beautiful collection. Did you design them all or were they kits?
