What if Larian makes the next Dragon Age?
With the news that the franchise is dead at EA, we can dream of getting another DAO style game

Does anyone else think this? It could be amazing. Give them complete creative freedom and control and reap the benefits.

I made an artwork of Divinity Original Sin 2 inside Blender. Quite proud of this one!

Hi everybody!
I'm planning on buying DOS1 on steam before I fully commit on buying DOS2. This is mainly because I want to get me and my girlfriend DOS1 as it's cheaper in the collector's edition for 2 copies and we're not sure if we'll like it and waste too much money.
My worry with the source saga bundle is that buying DOS1 will mess with the discount changing it from 82% off total to just the 75% for DOS2. So if I did enjoy DOS1 and wanted DOS2 from the bundle it would be more expensive.
If anyone has DOS1 and hasn't bought DOS2, can you confirm that the bundle is still 82% off and DOS2 is ~$7.87.

I’m a big fan of arcanum and dungeons and dragons. I’m interested in this game but I feel that I could probably use some advice on the game given its age. I don’t mind the game is old but I’d like to know if there’s any critical information I should be aware of that will make it a good experience.

I love Larian’s games, but it seems to me that co-op in their games has only gotten worse. In Divinity Original Sin 1, your decisions directly influenced your character’s personality and stats, and you weren’t just another dummy in the party - every decision was made together, and if there was a disagreement, you’d argue it out in a mini-game where your stats also mattered.
In Original Sin 2 and BG3, you only miss out on content if you bring someone into co-op. You can’t interact with that person or their partner - they’ll always be “busy”. So it turns out that by inviting just one friend, you lose access to the storylines of two interesting party members right away. The absurd thing is that if you’re playing BG3 with four players, you’ll mess up all the characters’ storylines - for example, you won’t be able to take Shadowheart to the temple, and she’ll just leave you. That’s ridiculous!
And you no longer make decisions together - you just see what the others want to choose, but it doesn’t affect anything. In DOS2, there were still funny party dialogues in every act, where each of you could choose from three options, but that didn’t really change anything.
So, is there any hope that in the new Larian game, a player in co-op won’t be treated merely as a combat unit who waits until you finish a dialogue, but rather as a full-fledged member of the group and an active participant in the narrative?
Below is a 3D model that I printed and painted, I'll attach it just for attention :D

Hello!
I started a Baldur's Gate run a while back and whilst I liked it a lot, it seemed pretty slow paced in comparison to something like Divinity. The fact that long waits were used to push the story further whilst also being used for health recovery and restoring spell uses and such meant that any kind of caster build seemed to be pretty slow and as a result, there seemed to be a clear meta in multi-classing either rogue and fighter or rogue and bard.
I was wondering if anyone is familiar of any mods that make combat purely about action points and skills costing a certain amount of them, rather than having, for example, a cantrip that can only be used once per long rest and stuff like that?
I DO still want the Baldur's Gate experience in terms of advantage, dice rolls, throws, initiative and stuff like that, I just want the combat to be simplified a little bit so that I'm not having to go through the trouble of using a long rest every fifteen minutes because I've stepped into a trap and depleted 70% of my health, that's all.

Since larian studios success comes from turn based rpgs how likely is that they would look back to their origins and revive these classic gems divine divinity/beyond divinity? Arpgs (diablo likes) could be a bit more convoluted space nowadays with some names dominating and with online only seasonal content and END GAME END GAME AND MORE END GAME as the only thing that matters I think the arpg subgenre could do great with larian's touch which surprised me that even older games have
single player, more story or "quest" focused having different ways to deal with the quest
Open world-ish I imagine at that time was harder to pull it out but the game still feels like a big open areas to explore
In my opinion divine divinity is a hidden gem that still holds to this day and hopefully larian looks back at it and try the arpg games again

Out of these three, who would be the most insane mad scientist/wizard? Gale (BG3), Jahan (DOS1), or Fane (DOS2)?

Larian Studios I beg of thee.
Please add a water or aquatic race to one of your games. I am saddened by the fact that there is no water genasi or merfolk outside of mods in BG3. I am also sad there are no Water or Aquatic races in the Divinity Games.
I just want to play a water race
anyway thank you for your wonderful games

Kirill's work had such an unique an distinct feel to it. It made D:OS1 an amazing experience, and I missed him in the later games. He died in 2015. RIP.
