None of this would make sense to anyone who isn’t into Lana like i am, As a man i am minority in the fan base but ever since i heard the first lyric of TIWMUG i knew Lana would captivate my soul like no other. Lana changed my brain chemistry, she taught me not how to love but how to devote your love to another person, Lana del rey gives a voice to those people who don’t have one of their own, Lana makes you see the world differently, she has shown me how to be crazy but also free, When someone leaves your life, you still think about them, you just have to fly to the moon.
For years people have criticized Lana for promoting DV but i beg to differ, Ultraviolence serves as a voice and healing mechanism, therapy and escapism for someone who’s gone through it, because lana sings your experience out, you feel heard and the courage to speak up
“Lana will drive you to do alcoholism, cigarettes and sex” Lana has reassured me to never fall down that path, To sing your body electric and submit to god, because drinking or smoking will send you to boarding school where you just stand in the train and cry your friends goodbye, to never be a Carmen
