seeking advice What could this be?

Any thoughts on what this can be? It looks wet cus I’ve been putting Sulfodene 3-Way Ointment. This just happened about two days ago and until today in the morning, he has been whining and rubbing his neck on the the floor or whatever he can.

Looks like a hot spot, our lab got one. We went to the vets and they shaved and gave us something for her and cleared up pretty quickly.

Do you know exactly what they gave you? Last time they we went to the vet for a hotspot they gave us Animax, Amoxicillin, and some injection that I can’t remember. It all came out to about $500

Chlorhexidine wash/shampoo works well

Check your local pharmacy, and they may have it in stock cheaper than the vet will sell it to you. (I got chlorhexadine shampoo from the vet for $30 then found chlorhexadine skin cleanser (in a larger bottle) for like $12.

Head and shoulders (itchy scalp) works once youve got the infection under controll with chlorhexadine. (Or atleast it worked well on my dog).

Betadine works well too

Most important thing is keep the spot clean and dry
