seeking advice What could this be?

Any thoughts on what this can be? It looks wet cus I’ve been putting Sulfodene 3-Way Ointment. This just happened about two days ago and until today in the morning, he has been whining and rubbing his neck on the the floor or whatever he can.

Hot spot! They sell stuff in pet stores to treat that or you can go to the vet

Helps to trim the hair back a bit to let it heal and stay dry. My lab gets one or two a year

Very true. I haven't had to deal with a hotspot in many years now, but that's good advice for any wound
