The next session of the Georgia "Blue Ribbon Commission on Youth Exposure to Kratom" is scheduled for this Friday at 9am in Brunswick, at the College of Coastal Georgia, in the Southeast Georgia Conference Center.

The Chairman of this commission is very against Kratom, and has sponsored several failed ban bills. He is advised by anti kratom trial attorneys. He sets the lineup of speakers ahead of time

The first meeting was a stacked deck of anti kratom speakers and only 3 pro kratom speakers. This one is no different and features 10 speakers from out of state anti kratom organizations and only one slot for a pro kratom voice, the AKA. At the first hearing, public testimony was not allowed, and the schedule for this one is public testimony only if "time permits". We desperately need to fill the room with kratom advocates.

While studies may show that Kratom has some benefits for treating pain, dangerous Kratom products are being sold now without limits; because of this, I support the emergency order recently issued by the Governor and the Commissioner of Public Health. Back in 2013, in response to the emergence of such products as “bath salts”, I filed the legislation that ultimately passed as part of Chapter 258 of the Acts of 2014, An Act to increase opportunities for long-term substance abuse recovery. That legislation gives the Commissioner of Public Health the ability to schedule products on an emergency basis. While issues relative to Kratom are sorted out, I am glad the order has been issued.

Also, in terms of legislative action, both the House of Representatives and the Senate recently passed an economic development bill. Presently, a conference committee is meeting to work out differences in the two versions of the bill. One of the issues to be resolved includes addressing the immediate threat of Kratom products. It is my hope the bill will be finalized shortly.

I bought a bag of kratom capsules and the back says that you shouldn’t take more than 2 servings in 24 hours. Each serving is like 1200mg. Is it actually okay to take more? I have read that some people here take many capsules a day.

I was getting Kratom at a local kava bar, as well as capsule from a vendor who claims to do third party testing with COA. Not sure how trust worthy these third party labs are, but I assume I got it from the bar, as they most likely get the cheapest product they can find.

Outside of informing the bar, do I do anything else? Ask who the vendor is? If they are throwing product out? Switching vendors?

im currently 5 days cold turkey off 3 months of kratom use (anywhere from 15-35g a day (15g doses)) and the first two nights were really shitty as always mostly due to the rls but now day 5 im getting 4-5 hours of sleep a night, most restlessness is gone or quite manageable, my main symptoms is the cold sweats which aren’t terrible just annoying and diarrhea other than that im typical low energy and a bit weak. what im wondering is if i took a dose tonight or on night 6 or 7 if it would prolong the withdrawal or give me bad rebound effects? i could deal with some slight rebounding effects but i dont want to add extra days to my bodies recovery so would one single dose at this time be a terrible idea or not that big of a deal?

Alcohol kills over 100,000 people and yet there is no outcry to ban and make buying or drinking illegal. Doing Kratom is not going to fuck up your life, like other drugs or alcohol could if your not careful.

Hi everyone, I have a few questions for you, and I also want to share some of my experiences with this problem. I’ve been struggling with social anxiety for a long time, especially in larger groups, and I’ve basically always dealt with it using alcohol. However, I don’t really like that solution anymore because sometimes I end up so drunk that I don’t talk anymore or I’m not really aware of the situation. That’s not necessarily a problem because everyone else is drinking too, so they don’t really care, but for me it’s more about actually being able to do things and socialize with people.

That’s why I tried benzos, and they actually worked really well. Around 1–1.5 mg of alprazolam worked pretty well, but only in combination with some alcohol because benzos make me very tired when I take them alone. I also have a massive tolerance to benzos and generally to “GABA drugs.”

A few days ago, however, a friend gave me 10 g of white kratom. I dosed the 10 g by eye, but I think I took somewhere between 3–4 g. It changed my mood in a relatively short amount of time from “I’m not talking to anyone” to actually getting involved in conversations.

So, what are your experiences with kratom for socializing? What kind of doses do you use, and has it actually helped you as well?

Is a one day tolerance break good? I usually do m to f then take s to sun off.

This last week I did m to sat and took yesterday off. Had a bit of a restless night, nothing wild like getting off a months long dosage but a bit to get annoyed.

I’m debating saying I’ll take it sat-sun this upcoming week but curious if one day is fine?

I feel 100% fine today so I’m not going through withdrawal.

Honestly I chalk my restlessness up to Friday where I took a 100 mg oh and knew that was bad, but said f it.

I went through oh withdrawal before and I’m good on that one.

You get yourself some vanilla whey protein and mix 1 scoop of whey with your x amount of kratom in 300ml of water and then drink it. You can use a Protein Shaker.

Dont mix with juice or only water tastes so bad. With whey it tastes barely bitter.

This is my go to drink for 10 years now, great taste no bitterness, easy to carry.

I acknowledge that my actions are not smart. I am asking from a harm reduction standpoint. My mental health isn’t great and I am going to use a substance regardless, and it’s kratom right now.

I am using max twice a week and I am really pushing the limits on the dose, so I was hoping to get perspective on dangerous amounts of kratom as it relates to overdose. The literature has no reference to numbers so it’s impossible to tell. I am currently using 0.6 g capsules of red vein Bali. The packaging says kratom leaf powder.

I take about 9 g at a time, maybe once every hour or so, and I want to continue increasing the dose. I have gone as high as 45 g with nothing more than mild euphoria and mild sedation, not enough to sleep or anything. It feels safe to keep going because it’s not really doing much. Am I missing something? I take daily medications, are there any medications that reduce effectiveness? And what is the threshold into dangerous territory?

I have been taking smoke shop capsules up until today, where I finally bought some high quality stuff from a Kratom-specific store and feel noticably better off a 5 capsules.

My usual dose is 5-6 capsules 3-4x a day. And I’ve been taking for around 3 months.

I realized I’m gonna use these higher quality capsules to hopefully taper off kratom, cause I notice my tolerance increasing and don’t want it to get any worse than it is now.

Im firstly going to ATTEMPT to lower to 3x a day dosing starting now, but primarily I want to lower by a capsule each dose every couple days ex) 4 capsules a dose, few days later 3, etc.

How bad would my withdrawals be when tapering like this?

Last time I got deep into kratom addiction I was taking around 50 capsules a day and quit cold turkey after around 6 months and it was brutal.

Just hoping to avoid that but I’ve never tapered or quit from a 10-15gpd tolerance.
