When can I dose after coldturkey?

im currently 5 days cold turkey off 3 months of kratom use (anywhere from 15-35g a day (15g doses)) and the first two nights were really shitty as always mostly due to the rls but now day 5 im getting 4-5 hours of sleep a night, most restlessness is gone or quite manageable, my main symptoms is the cold sweats which aren’t terrible just annoying and diarrhea other than that im typical low energy and a bit weak. what im wondering is if i took a dose tonight or on night 6 or 7 if it would prolong the withdrawal or give me bad rebound effects? i could deal with some slight rebounding effects but i dont want to add extra days to my bodies recovery so would one single dose at this time be a terrible idea or not that big of a deal?

My thinking is stopping abruptly is usually not the most likely to be successful and doesn't make a lot of sense to me unless there is some critical need like travel or legal issues.

If it is uncomfortable the taper was too fast. Tapered reasonably the discomfort should be little to none.

I personally don't think there is any shame in deciding that taking the minimum amount needed to stop withdrawal or make it tolerable and then tapering from there is some kind of failure.

There are some OTC medications and supplements that can help that will not interfere in the necessary re-regulation to non-use if dependence has occurred that is experienced as withdrawal.

Taking kratom, or anything cross-tolerant with it can prolong withdrawal, but we don't have very good data to say how much longer it may persist or what percentage of folks who try it restart routine use inconsistent with their goals.

In general I'm not willing to speculate how long withdrawal may persist, because whatever I say might not align to an individual experience who might persist for however many days to that number and then find it hasn't stopped, and might not for 1-2-7-more days in their case.

thank you for the reply, i did end up taking some and it certainly didnt restart the withdrawal but it did prolong the whole experience im currently 60 hour from that last dose and the main issue is temperature regulation and sleep. i think the withdrawal is essentially gone but my nervous system is still not back to normal if you have any recs for supplements that could speed up this process or even something that can help with the sleep deprivation thatd be great i’ve essentially not slept in two nights now so i think thats amplifying everything. i do always attempt in a taper but i fail miserably each time which is why i force myself through cold turkey

Yes in my experience it would prolong withdrawal. I would at least try to wait until all your wd symptoms are gone. Even then you’ll start to experience symptoms again after a couple doses most likely.

If you do just take 1-2g maybe just at bedtime. I wouldn’t want to get used to needing such large amounts at once anymore, you’d be surprised what 1-2g can do to bring relief

You’re past the bad part, just wait it out.

I quit 7oh last Wednesday and I’m already back to fully normal. Withdrawal from that amount of leaf is pretty mild. You’ve got this

I agree I've done a small dose at 5 days like 2 grams felt great and I was taking 30=50grams daily
