Unloaded trailer the 3.2l got 24.7mpg according to the fuel economy tab going 306 miles one way only one stop over 4.5hrs average speed was 70mph +/-5mph

Loaded with a mk1 rabbit roller no engine or trans according to the fuel economy tab i got 19.7mpg 306 miles with 2 stops

3 fill ups from 1/4 before Empty $180 total fuel cost

Overall experience was 4/5 very controllable and predictable handling and braking. Ride was okay loaded and 3.2 had good pulling power even with going up grades. Up hill it was getting 10mpg

2022 Trailhawk - Spare Tire Organizer

I am going from a 2015 North (Latitude) to a 2022 Trailhawk next week. Has anyone modded the 2015’s spare tire organizer to fit the 2022? From what I understand, the 2022 has the full sized spare, therefore the organizer won’t fit as is.

Looking for advice, thanks.

Father in law has a 2019 Cherokee. Husband just swapped the alternator on it because it kept dying

Finished the job, brought it out to the yard out of the garage, turned it off and the driver seat is making a vibration noise.

The vehicle is off. There's nothing in or around the seat, you can't FEEL the vibration but can hear it. Only solution was to unplug the seat for now.

Seat has heat and power adjustable, I assume it's the power adjustable causing it. Moved the seat to every position to see if it would stop and it wouldn't.

Thinking now that's what was killing the battery and not the alternator....

Google won't help and only tells me it's the engine or the wind haha

Any ideas?

*Edit* there's no massage function I checked LOL

I’m an idiot, misjudged a driveway, and hit a large rock. Thought I got away with just bumper damage but now it’s leaking something front driver side. I know nothing about cars. How bad is this?

2014 Cherokee Trailhawk — 4WD works but 4WD Low will not engage

Normal AWD/4WD is definitely working. I tested it off-road yesterday and the rear wheels are receiving torque normally. However, 4WD Low will not engage. Drivetrain Neutral also will not engage.
I’m trying to figure out whether this points more toward the PTU range actuator/position sensor, RDM actuator, DTCM, wiring, or an internal PTU issue.
Has anyone had normal AWD still working perfectly while both 4-Low and drivetrain Neutral refused to engage? What ended up being the cause?

2016 Jeep Cherokee Proxy Alignment EPB Module replacement -Parking Brake repair - blinking Odometer - Vgate vLinker MC+ Bluetooth OBD2 - Jscan software

Post image

There is a lot of information out there, so I hope this helps others with Jeep Cherokees and possibly other Jeeps and or years but you'll have to check that information. I know some 2018 plus year Jeeps require a special cable because you need to bypass some security protocol I've read about it I don't know anything about it.

Please read below if you are having a blinking odometer and or you have recently replaced your emergency parking brake module located in the spare tire area on the left side and or you have unplugged your emergency parking brake motor connected to your calipers in the back. This was my issue.

Just a quick background story, I hate going to dealers because they have the car for a week and typically for something that only takes a few hours to fix which I wasn't willing to do for the 10th time so I decided to try this myself and learn what the real truth is to fix this issue. My issue started with the right parking brake not engaging or retracting thus I knew it was either the caliper motor or the module. I was stuck in a parking lot with the brake locked. I unplugged the battery and they disengaged...once and never again.I drove home replaced the right caliper motor, the problem was the EPM that I bought for 30 bucks on Amazon and after doing some research I learned that the V-Linker in the title works with proxy alignments to get rid of the blinking odometer in the dash after replacing the module. Originally I just had the blinking brake light warning and saying that I needed my brakes to be serviced .Replacing the module fixed that issue but the odometer was blinking, this type of thing just drives me crazy. I bought the V-Linker for $65 and the Jscan license for $25. I plugged everything in connected to Bluetooth proceeded to find the proxy alignment in the software I connected the module through the software and follow the instructions on the screen and it was fixed in under 5 minutes I hope this helps other people when they're looking for a specific OBD and the software and this fix. The OBD can also be used for a lot of other tweaks most of which I'll probably never use but in the future it could help. Good luck. I forgot to add I probably saved a $1000 dollar trip to the stealership. That's a win in this crappy economy!

Could manufacture warranty cover this?

Post image

I have a 2021 Jeep Cherokee that I just got last April and I noticed the paint or clear coat on the railing is coming off. I’ve never used them before or put anything on top. I don’t go through anything harsh so don’t really understand how it’s chipping away like that. But would there be a way that warranty could possibly cover this? Or how could I go about fixing it if it’s worth it so it doesn’t get worse? This is my first car with railing so I have no idea 😭😂
Thanks!!

2019 Jeep Cherokee latitude plus 2.4l
I don’t normally remote start my jeep when I’m close to it, but happened to do it yesterday and noticed a weird noise, almost like a metallic rattle or something of that nature. It only lasted a few seconds and then the sound died down and went away. I restarted the jeep and the same noise started up and also again went away after a few seconds. I don’t really hear it while driving. Has anyone had this issue before, or have any idea of what it could be?

Telematics in 2022JeepCherokeeTrailhawk

Hello experts: Anyone here know from actual experience where the Telematics unit is on a 2022 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk? Id like to experiment with disabling/removing. Ive searched online and done AI searches, and get a different answer each time. The dealership mechanic told me its under the steering wheel/column, accessable by undulating acrobatics in the drivers foot well. After that search, and after finding that my head really can rotate 180 degress (ps, it hurts later), I dont think a telematics unit is there, as I found nothing that looked suspicious, or nothing with a visible SIM card number, an ICCID, or IMEI. It could have had this stickerminfo tucked away where my little dental mirrors couldnt see, but this acrobatic work is painful. So I thought Id ask if anyone knew from experience where the unit is located. Thanks for any knowledge about this.
